First and subsequent visits to Crossroads
The Crossroads is a unique map found in the Fade dimension. You will first arrive there as part of the Into the Crossroads main quest, which you begin in the Lighthouse. You can return to Crossroads multiple times later in the campaign - you can select this place from the world map.
The main use of Crossroads is to unlock travel to other maps - as you advance in the main storyline you will gain access to new places.
100% map completion
To obtain 100% the Crossroads completion status you must find:
- 10 Chests;
- 6 Hidden treasures;
- 4 Evanuris Altars;
- 5 Fen'Harel Altars.
You can check your progress on the map screen - it appears in the upper left corner.
Eluvian Gates
The Crossroads contains a large number of Eluvian gates - gateways that can transport you to other locations in the game world.
Some Eluvian gates are initially inactive. They will only become available once you have advanced sufficiently in the main storyline. During your first visit, only the gates leading to Treviso and Dock Town will be accessible.
Spirit Dock and beacons
The Crossroads map is divided into several isolated areas. You can reach new locations by boat, which you can board at the Spirit Dock. You will then travel to a new location on the map.
Beacons - fast travel points - also serve to transport you between different parts of the Crossroads. You must manually activate each beacon by approaching it with Rook.
Main and side quests
The Crossroads are visited several times during the main storyline, and your task is to reach the Eluvian gate that transports you to a new land.
Additionally, side quests and companion quests may be connected to the Crossroads. These are then completed directly on the Crossroads map. Doing a side quest can also bring you closer to unlocking new locations.
Blocked passages and shortcuts
Many areas in Crossroads are initially impossible to access. Markers and descriptions on our interactive map will tell you, for example, how to find a roundabout route or how to obtain a required key. You will also learn about unlocking shortcuts - they can make it easier for you to visit Crossroads again.
Chests and hidden treasures
While exploring Crossroads, you may come across smaller and larger loot chests containing items such as weapons, armor, equipment, gold, materials, and valuable items. There are also unique Hidden treasures to discover
Evanuris and Fen'Harel Altars
These are secret altars that have various environmental puzzles associated with them.
Every completed Fen'Harel Altar is 1 skill point, and thanks to completing the Evanuris Altar puzzle you can extend your main character's health bar permanently.
Mementos
This is a more important type of secret marked on our interactive map. Each collected Memento grants Caretaker Power Points - you need them to unlock upgrades in the Caretaker's Workshop.
Codex entries and notes
There are smaller secrets hidden throughout various parts of Crossroads. Codex entries allow you to learn more about the Crossroads and the Fade, and are also rewarded with XP. Notes allow you to read various messages.
Bosses
Crossroads, unlike Lighthouse, is not a safe location - you can encounter large bosses and mini-bosses. Markers on our map warn you about their locations and the quests they are a part of. This will allow you to prepare for the confrontation with these elite monsters.
Points of interest
Our interactive map shows important locations and objects that do not have unique markers in the game world. These can be various mechanisms, e.g. subsequent statues to rotate that can unlock new passages.
