Dredge: How to catch Aurora Jellyfish?
The Aurora Jellyfish is one of the more difficult specimens to catch in the Dredge game. In our guide tells you how to prepare for the Trawl Net, how to catch the jellyfish and how to hand over the Aurora Jellyfish to the NPC Researcher from the Old Fortress.
A researcher from Stellar Basin in Dredge asks the hero to catch an Aurora Jellyfish. In our guide, you will find tips on how to prepare for the fishing and how to catch Aurora Jellyfish in Trawl Net. This will allow you to complete 100% of the Old Fortress' Researcher's contract.
Aurora Jellyfish in the Research Assistant quest

Obtaining the Aurora Jellyfish is a part of the Pursuit quest called Research Assistant - it is given to you by a Researcher from the Old Fortress in Stellar Basin. This is the most problematic specimen out of the 3 on the list.
Preparations

Aurora Jellyfish cannot be caught with a traditional Coastal rod. You need to get a Basic Trawl Net. It can be purchased from any merchant, e.g. from the Traveling Merchant in Starlight Pontoon in Stellar Basin.
You have to install the purchased net in the hold - it requires 4 slots from the Rods category.

You can select the purchased and installed Trawl Net from the drop-down menu (see the picture above). Then press the interaction button to submerge the net in the water.
The net can now catch fish while you're just sailing around. The bottom left corner of the screen shows the current depth and the number of fish (i.e. how often they can fall into the net).

In the case of Aurora Jellyfish, you must go fishing at night, because only then do jellyfish spawn in Stellar Basin. Swim around the central area to avoid the attacks of the Stellar Basin underwater monster. At some point, you should receive a notification that the first Aurora Jellyfish was caught and added to the encyclopedia.

Additional confirmation of a successful catch can be found in the Net tab - all specimens caught in the net are shown there.
It's recommended to sail with this prey to the Old Fortress immediately to hand over the jellyfish. This way you avoid the risk of losing or infecting your Aurora Jellyfish.
