Antihero

ANTIHERO IN A NUTSHELL
  1. Developer: Tim Conkling
  2. Publisher: Versus Evil
  3. Release date: January 2018

Antihero casts us as the boss of a gang operating in Victorian-era London. These were hard times, and our subordinates will stop at nothing to survive. In the game, we get access to a wide range of criminal activities. We can invest in illegal businesses, commit robberies, carry out assassinations or infiltrate companies.

However, the game isn't very serious, and the Victorian London has a slightly cartoonish flair. The gameplay itself, on the other hand, turns out to be complex and provides a lot of freedom in running a gang, allowing us to decide ourselves how violent our gang will be.

THIS WAR OF MINE IN A NUTSHELL
  1. Developer: 11 bit studios
  2. Publisher: 11 bit studios
  3. Release date: July 2015

Our next offering is one of the most important Polish releases of recent years and a title that has made 11-bit studio a recognizable team.

This War of Mine stands out with the original concept. War is common in games, but it's mostly romanticized and nurtured. These expectations are shattered by the Polish game, which gives you control over a bunch of civilians, trying to survive every day of the hell. You need food, medicine, and other necessary stuff, make sure your base is well hidden, and avoid any contact with soldiers.

This game makes a great impression with the dismal atmosphere and the gameplay formula forcing players to make decisions that end in the deaths of innocent people. In addition to atmosphere and grim message, however, This War of Mine also brings refined and extended gameplay, and thanks to random mission generation, the whole thing can be completed many times over without getting repetitive.
