Lindsay Wagner in Bionic Woman.

Lindsay Wagner is a veteran actor. This seventy-year-old American has been working in the profession for almost fifty years, having to her credit the iconic role of the action heroine Jaime Sommers in the science fiction series The Bionic Woman 1976-1978. For this role, she received an Emmy award.

Lindsay Wagner's career began in 1971 when she signed with the Universal Studios label, which granted her smaller roles in numerous TV series such as Adam 12 (her debut), The Man and the City and The Rockford Files. In 1975, she got a biger role in the science fiction series The Six Million Dollar Man. Her role as a heroine endowed with extraordinary abilities appealed to the audience so much that a spin-off called The Bionic Woman was produced, which made her one of the icons of the American TV in the seventies.

When the series was canceled, Wagner continued her career, performing, among others, alongside Sylvester Stallone in Nighthawk, in one of the episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, in the Syfy series Warehouse 13 or in various projects related to The Bionic Woman. Lindsay Wagner's most recent roles include Millie in one episode of Fuller House and as Helen Karev in four episodes of Grey's Anatomy.

Interestingly, Hideo Kojima, as a big fan of The Bionic Woman, used a portrait of Lindsay Wagner in one of his first games. In the adventure game Snatcher from 1988, Jaime Seed, the wife of the main character, was strikingly similar to the actress – her surname is even identical to the character played by Wagner.

As she admitted, Lindsay Wagner agreed to play in Death Stranding because she recognized the game as deeper and more ambitious than conventional video games. The actress will play two characters. The first is the seriously ill Bridget, a former President of the United States whose dream is to reunite the fragmented cities. The other is Amelie – Bridget's daughter and the main contender for the chair of the president, who has kidnapped by Homo Demons and remains in captivity. Since Amelie's body is on the "beach," the woman does not age and has looked the same for ten years.

Curiously, Lindsay Wagner will play Bridget with her voice and mo-cap, and will give her appearance to Amelie. The younger of the women, on the other hand, will speak in the voice of Emily O'Brien, the British actress known for the soap opera The Young and Restless. Emily has also voiced characters in several well-known video games such as The Order: 1886, League of Legends, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series and Elder Scrolls Online.
