Various rumors and leaks about GTA 6 have appeared on the Internet in the last few years. So, let's check all the gossip and pieces of information we have received so far about the long-awaited GTA 6.

Setting – most probably east coast, or maybe... the whole area of the United States?
There are many indications that Grand Theft Auto VI will take place on the east coast of the United States. Numerous sources suggest that we will get the opportunity to explore several cities – the most common names are Vice City (a fictional metropolis based on Miami, which appeared in GTA: Vice City in 2002) and Liberty City (an alternative version of New York, which we visited in GTA III and GTA IV). The leaks of March 2018, as well as those of May and June this year, speak of this. Miami and New York were also mentioned by a mysterious developer associated with PlayStation 5.
Some reports suggest that the game world may be even more vast and expansive. Perhaps we will find a third city on the map and it may be either Los Santos or a completely new location based on Orlando or Brazilian Rio de Janeiro. The latter option would mean that in the new title of Rockstar Games we may travel beyond the borders of the United States. It is worth noting that travel to South America also appeared in the leak presented by The Know channel (in March, last year). Maybe there's something to it.
Another leak, from September this year, mentions about two completely different cities – Las Venturas (fictional Las Vegas) and San Fierro (alternative version of San Francisco). These two, according to the source, are going to be located on one huge map that is four times bigger than the one known from the GTAV. Interestingly, one of the reports (August 2017) suggests that developers even considered to move the whole story of the game to... London. However, this idea was abandoned.
Perhaps the most interesting and most exciting option appeared in the leak of May 2019. According to this information, the setting and gameplay area of Grand Theft Auto VI could be... virtually the entire United States of America. The map would include all the iconic locations and cities known from the previous editions of the series. The source of this news is a negative rating given to Rockstar Games on the Glassdoor portal, where employees speak anonymously about employers. A similar concept had also appeared a year earlier in a post on GTAForums – its author suggested that he was working on a map project for GTA 6 covering the whole territory of the USA. The idea seems crazy and extremely ambitious, but haven't we already learned to expect such mind blowing features from 'Rock-Stars'?
