Dragon Age: Dreadwolf – better than Inquisition?
- Announced in: 2021
- Genre: RPG
- Developer: BioWare
We have known that the new installment of Dragon Age has been in development since 2018. We also know that the production has struggled with many problems along the way, and during that time only sporadic short trailers were released, which were rather meant to remind of this universe than to show how the game will look in its full glory. The latest reports vary – from statements that the premiere is still far away, to signals that EA may be preparing a full-fledged trailer. Although there will be no EA Live Play this year, Electronic Arts has confirmed its participation in the main day of Summer Game Fest. Is it just about advertising the upcoming F1 2023, or something more – for example, a bigger trailer of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf?
Why are we waiting?
A big RPG game by BioWare is always a significant event, and the Dragon Age series has very strong roots. The new installment of the series will continue the story from Inquisition; the main antagonist will supposedly be the Dread Wolf – the elven deity we met back then. The heroes from previous games will also return. Some people might be worried about the bigger shift towards action RPG and the sidelining of active pause and tactic adjustments, but maybe BioWare knows what they're doing and the mentioned changes will turn out to be cooler and engaging? Anyway, it's hard to predict anything until we see the game in action in the official materials. In any case, it will be good to visit this universe again, especially after such a long wait for the next part.
