Final Fantasy XVI, Square Enix, 2023.

Number of points scored: 95

The sixteenth installment of Final Fantasy divided the fan base. On one side, there are many fans of this series who are unhappy with the game's final form (and their numbers are growing over time), while on the other side, there are individuals impressed with what Square Enix developers have managed to deliver. For me, Final Fantasy XVI was a huge disappointment; I can't recall any anticipated titles that not only failed to meet expectations but also missed the mark so significantly. However, I won't dwell on my regrets here and will focus on the positive aspects of the game. For some reason, the game ended up so high, didn't it?

Final Fantasy XVI defends itself especially by the creation of the characters, the mature story, and the audiovisual setting. The battles with the Eikons are amazing. When it seems like the developers have reached their peak, the next fight says "hold my beer" and delivers scenes that knock our socks off. Final Fantasy XVI is the most accessible installment for anyone who has previously avoided JRPGs because of its focus on action. Because, it's hard to find the classic "Finale" here.
