The Best Video Games Coming in 2023 - Editors' Choice

While still finishing this year's scarce hits, we are already looking ahead to next year's potential blockbusters. Already the first quarter of 2023 should bring quite a few of them – so here's a ranking of the most anticipated games by Gamepressure.

Table of Contents

6. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Electronic Arts Inc., 2023

  1. Genre: TPP action adventure game
  2. Release date: March 17, 2023
  3. Developer: Respawn Entertainment
  4. Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X & S

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order broke the bad spell of negative opinions about Electronic Arts related to the company's exclusive rights to Star Wars, when it comes to games set in this universe. After the controversial releases of two parts of Battlefront, focused on online grind and microtransactions, a traditional action game with a single-player story campaign finally appeared. And it was pretty good, both in terms of the story, the combat and exploration mechanics, and the memorable protagonist.

The red-haired Cal Kestis will return in the sequel Survivor, which hints that he will be one of the last surviving Jedi in the galaxy. We will definitely face the forces of the Empire again, but we will also have to wait for further details of the new story. In addition, Cal is supposed to be more skilled in wielding a lightsaber, which will be translated into a richer set of attacks, and the power of the Jedi will be useful not only during combat, but also in exploring new locations. As the game will not be coming for consoles of the older generation, it should also bring a significant improvement in terms of graphics quality. We will find out everything in March – if there are no delays.
