A dark and brutal action RPG developed by the Japanese From Software studio in cooperation with Atlus. The story is set in the kingdom of Boletaria. The realm's overambitious king wished to obtain even more power and attempted to make a deal with dark forces. As a result, powerful evil has awakened. The player-controlled character is the land's only hope now, for the protagonist is the only one capable of defeating the hordes of demons that were set free by the king's greed. The game offers ten character classes, each having their own different skills and equipment. The game emphasizes combat with different kinds of weapons - each has their own special attacks and character animations. In combat, the player can cast spells and use miracles, based on the faith attribute. Whether the protagonist becomes a better warrior or a mage depends on the development choices made by the player. A prominent feature of the game is the multiplayer mode allowing players to leave tips and warnings for other players.

Europa Universalis II is much bigger and spans across not three but four hundred years of global history (1419-1820). Contrary to its predecessor, the sequel lets us lead one of 180 actual countries, including such ones as the Chinese Empire or African tribes. Gameplay-wise, the developers adjusted all key mechanics like economy, politics, and diplomacy to match the global scale and introduced a myriad of enhancements, including a scenario editor. The game map was expanded with 120 new provinces. The role of religion was also recreated in greater detail. The improved graphics faithfully reflect the design and uniqueness of the available nations.

A sequel to the well-received grand strategy game set during World War II, developed by Paradox Interactive. Hearts of Iron 2 spans the entire world and requires us to oversee not only military activities but also all kinds of economic, political, and social dependencies. The player can lead any country, including the biggest superpowers of the era, such as Germany, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union. Hearts of Iron 2 offers great freedom in preparations for the outbreak of the World War II. The general premise of the gameplay recreates the solutions of the game's predecessor, but the sequel features many novelties, including additional diplomatic and political options (for example, you can check what would happen if Marxist ideas were introduced in Germany), an open negotiation system, trade agreements, or experience acquisition for military units. Historical scenarios that let us see the conflict through the eyes of a famous commander were also enhanced.

The player assumes the role of one of medieval lords whose task is to transform a small settlement into a powerful and well fortified stronghold and then protect it from the invaders. The castle can constructed by using various premade elements such as walls, towers, bridges or moats. Economical infrastructure is important as well since it provides constant income of resources and food as well as job for the peasants. The game is divided into two main modes: the economical one in which the most important part is to expand the settlement; and the military one where during epic fights one must defend his castle or siege enemy stronghold. The game also has a multiplayer mode for up to 8 players.

The second official expansion pack for the third installment in a series of turn-based strategy games developed by Sid Meier and his new studio Firaxis Games. In each of the eight in-game campaigns, the player assumes control over one of new nations (the Maya and the Sumerians mainly) - those have their own leaders, unique units, technologies, as well as special abilities and features. As usual, the player leads the civilization of their choice to glory through taking care of its economic, cultural and military development. Furthermore, the game was enriched with a set of additional elements, including new victory conditions, wonders, environmental objects, resources, catastrophes, natural disasters, buildings, city upgrades, diplomatic options and types of government. What's more, Sid Meier's Civilization III: Conquests offers play-by-email sessions. Both the map and scenario editors were improved.
