Adventure, Fantasy, Gamebook, Singleplayer, Text.

A sequel to a unique adventure RPG by inkle studio, and an adaptation of a popular gamebook by Steve Jackson and John Blanche. The story of Sorcery! 2 continues the tale of its predecessor and takes us to Khare, town of outlaws, where The Festival of Thieves is celebrated. Players have to discover the mysteries of the town, overthrow the council ruling it, and stop an incoming invasion. We can start with a completely new character or import our hero from the first game to explore the world and talk with characters, making decisions that affect the plot. Interestingly, depending on our personal feelings, the town’s inhabitants might not necessarily deserve saving, and their fate is mostly in our hands. The key features of the first Sorcery! are obviously present, including the original character development system and the unusual battle system that chooses the actions available to us depending on our play style.

A mobile turn-based strategy game developed by team at HandyGames studio, recreating major military operations of the World War II, like the allied landing in Normandy. We can play as either United Nations or Axis, with each faction having different units and equipment, not to mention missions and their objectives. Gameplay takes place on maps, covered in hexagon grids, based on historical battlefields, with turn-based battles resembling those from classics of the genre, e.g. the Panzer General series. 1944 Burning Bridges emphasizes tactical aspects and allows us to use various offensive tactics, including surprise attacks, surgical strikes at strategic points, seizing or destroying buildings and bridges, and setting blockades. Classic single player campaign is complemented by two multiplayer modes (online or in hotseat).

Developed by Xaviant Games, creators of Lichdom: Battlemage, The Culling is a multiplayer first-person survival game. It is heavily inspired by such titles as The Hunger Games or Battle Royale. As one of 16 contestants, you are sent to an island where, in order to win, you have to kill everybody else before they kill you. Prior to a battle, each contestant can choose three perks, which provide various bonuses and useful skills. Focusing on close combat, the game offers a wide array of melee weapons, allows you to set traps, and features an extensive combat system that allows you to attack in many different ways. There are also bows and firearms available, but they do not play a crucial role in the game. Apart from a very simple crafting system, there is also a big collection of useful items that can come in handy during battles.

A mobile card game created by Mathew Inman as an adaption of a popular board game of the same name. Exploding Kittens is unlike anything in its genre and has been developed purely with a group of players sitting at a single board in mind. Rules are incredibly simple: during each turn the players randomly select one card, and the one to draw the eponymous volatile furball is out of the game. All other cards are used to avoid the explosive animal or preventing others from achieving the same objective. We can find among them e.g. passing turn, looking at top threes cards of the deck or defusing the kitty and returning it into the deck in way that other players won’t know where it is.

The seventh full-fledged installment in a popular, though niche, series of jRPGs whose characters personify the famous Japanese consoles and development studios. The plot was divided into three, non-connected episodes set in the universe of the series. The game features both characters the players are familiar with, and completely new figures. Compared to the previous installments, the rules and mechanics have not changed, thus the game is a typical representative of the jRPG genre, featuring turn-based combat sequences taking place on separate arenas. Three characters at max take direct part in a fight, and they can undergo transformations during the encounter in order to benefit from their stronger, divine forms. What is completely new here, is the introduction of an additional, even more powerful form, which has brought an additional tactical element to the encounters with the most dangerous bosses.

A three-dimensional adventure game in the form of a courtroom drama, inspired by the popular Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series. It was created by The Moonwalls studio's sole member - a lawyer and a game enthusiast who developed the game almost entirely on his own. The story is set in a steampunk alternative vision of the 19th century Paris. The protagonist faces the court, being accused of a brutal murder of a young woman. The player's task is to convince the court of his innocence. The game features two timelines. The courtroom is the center of the story, where witnesses can be heard testifying or the judge asks questions. These launch flashbacks, which take the player back to the day the crime was committed. The player's role is to perform certain actions which are going to confirm or deny a given testimony. In order to clear the protagonist of charges, the player can also lie, support their testimony with additional proof or even pretend to be insane. Depending on the tactics used, the player can witness one of dozen different endings.

We can also charge powerful, game-changing special attacks. The second part of the game takes place on a two-dimensional board – we move our character to collect useful items and money. The important aspect is a skillful use of various methods to influence the citizens – including terror – in order to fulfill the system's objectives, but avoid stirring a rebellion. Therefore, in order for the city to properly function, one has to not only manage efficiently, but also exercise constant control over the citizens, even resorting to ruthless intimidation. Soviet City is single player-only game, designed with short sessions in mind, each of them offering randomly generated town with different starting conditions and various goals to achieve. World Tour Fishing is a sports MMO game maintained in light anime aesthetics. The game is about fishing and taking challenges, but in order to achieve success and develop your character, you have to choose the right equipment and lure, as well as cope with the fish caught on the hook, winning mini games. The title offers both competition (e.g. in tournaments) and the possibility of cooperation (e.g. in the joint rental of boats allowing to fish far from the shore).

An economic simulation game inspired by the classic title MULE. It is the debut production of Mohawk Games, a studio led by Soren Johnson, one of the designers of the third and fourth installments of the Civilization series. Offworld Trading Company takes us to Mars, where we assume control of our own trading company and compete against others for leading position on the planet's market. In the game, we deal with extraction and processing of 13 different raw materials, which grant us cash inflow and the possibility of expanding our company with new structures that process our goods even further. Apart from that, we have to incessantly supply our plants and facilities with air, fuel, and food. The core of the gameplay is the extensive trading module that reacts dynamically to the changing situation on the market. There is also the black market which allows us to manipulate prices and hire mobsters to sabotage our competitors.

A platformer with puzzle game features, developed by Upper One Game studio. The story of Never Alone is based on Inuit beliefs, with players taking control of a young girl from the Inupiaq tribe who sets on a dangerous journey with her white fox to save her people and stop the arrival of the eternal blizzard. During her adventure, she will meet many creatures from Inuit legends, such as Sky People, Rolling Heads or Blizzard Man. Never Alone presents its world from the side perspective, as we traverse vast levels, avoid traps, fight enemies and solve puzzles. The single player campaign lets us switch between the girl and the fox, both of which have unique abilities that are necessary to progress; however, control is split between two players in the cooperation mode. Never Alone features good-looking three-dimensional visuals accompanied by a soundtrack based on traditional Inuit music. Interestingly, the narrator speaks in Inuit language and the dialogue is translated into English through subtitles.
