An episodic action game developed by Intoxicate. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic universe known from the cRPG Afterfall and from the survival horror Afterfall Insanity. The player enters a world that survived a great war, where groups of survivors are hiding in small mountain settlements, forced to fight in search for supplies and resources. Each of the three episodes tells a completely different story shown from the perspective of a different character. The gameplay mechanics are similar to the ones used in the later installments of the Fallout series, although the game focuses more on storytelling and action sequences than on RPG features. The game features unusual black and white graphics with contrasting red blood. What’s interesting, the graphics were traditional at first, but the developers decided to change them after the community suggested it, fascinated by one of the trailers of the game.

As opposed to the other expansions and to the base version of the game, Crusader Kings II: Sunset Invasion presents a highly alternative history, featuring an invasion of the Aztec empire on 13th-century Europe. Together with Aztecs, a new plague reaches Europe and the doctors are unable to deal with it. The player, who assumes the role of a ruler of a powerful empire, must face the new threat and save his realm from imminent doom. The expansion is included in the basic version of Crusader Kings II: Dark Ages and its contents are unlocked during the late phases of the regular campaign. Crusader Kings II: Sunset Invasion introduces many new units and portraits. Unique aspects of the Aztec culture and religion were recreated, including brutal rituals during which they offered human sacrifices to their gods.

The player can select from around 300 models of vehicles of various classes (from sports cars through pick-ups to roadsters) that can be additionally tuned.

A new installment in the series of real time strategies developed by an dedicated studio of 1C – SoftClub. Men of War: Condemned Heroes tells the story based on one of the more infamous episodes of World War II – the Soviet penal battalions. Such units were formed from convicts and “politically incorrect” soldiers, and were sent to perform the most futile and hopeless tasks. The game offers four campaigns (in all, 15 scenarios) spanning across 3 years, from 1942 to 1945. Our unit takes part in events such as battles for the area of Volyn, Operation Bagration, and East Pomerania Offensive. The gameplay itself is characterized by its immense difficulty – during each mission, we are left with a small infantry unit, thrown against an opponent superior in strength and numbers. Condemned Heroes doesn’t introduce new units or offer any changes to the series’ mechanics, yet the game received graphical updates, including more detailed models and uniforms.

Another entry in the complex simulation game series, in which players take on the role of a train driver. Once again, the game was developed by Dovetail Games studio, who has also given us a tutorial that introduces us to basics of gameplay. There is also a career mode, in which we must complete dozens of varied missions. Quite obviously, we drive many different trains: from modern inventions to machines from the age of steam. The rich selection of tracks contains both real-life and fictional routes. Additionally, the editor returns in RailWorks 3: Train Simulator 2012, allowing for creation of custom routes – not only with various length and shape, but also through different types of terrain and with various surrounding objects. Finally, we can design trains and even whole scenarios, all of which can be shared with the game’s community.

Aion is an MMORPG developed by the Korean developer NCSoft, known for creating the popular Lineage series. The game takes the player to a fantastical land of Atreia, divide by a cataclysm into two separate parts. The part of the world that is suffused with sunlight is inhabited by the so-called Elvos, who represent positive and enlightened values; the dark part of the world is home to Asmodians - distrustful and dangerous humans living across the ice-bound territories. The two parts of the world are separated by the Abyss - a battlefield between the feuding factions. Players have to choose a side in this conflict and lead to battle a character representing one of four main classes - a warrior, a scout, a priest, or a mage. Upon reaching a particular experience level, one can select two additional specialties. In comparison to similar games, Aion stands out in terms of its in-game world design - in the first locations one does not meet any foes controlled by the members of the enemy faction, fighting only AI-controlled minions. At the later stages of the game, the players are bound to encounter portals that take them to the lands occupied by the opposing faction - in such situations, the player has to fight characters controlled by other players. Thus, weak characters should join a group of other heroes or one of the so-called legions. Interestingly enough, apart from completing consecutive quests and battling foes, one can develop their skills in one of the several available professions (e.g. foraging, tailoring, and cooking). The game delivers also crafting mechanics allowing the players to improve their inventory. The built-in encyclopedia is a rich source of in-game lore. Aion features high-quality visuals based on the CryEngine technology.

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress also introduces new content, including new missions, monsters, champions and previously unavailable locations. Among the latter there are both safe areas and ones controlled by the forces of evil.

The story campaign focuses on two students, who are drafted into the army and meet on the front. Faces of War: Brothers in Arms features over ten new, varied missions for every side of the conflict, and a new, improved interface based on the fans' suggestions. The online mode was expanded by adding two new maps and rankings. The visuals and the audio layer have also been improved — the gunshots and explosions sound more realistic now. It's also worth noting that the expansion does not require the base game to run.
