An arcade platform game in a retro style, created by the development team Polytron. We play the role of Gomez, who, living in the 2D world so far, realizes the existence of another dimension. The title presents the game in a rather innovative way, realizing various puzzles using two-dimensional boards in the three-dimensional world. All this takes place in a pixel, colourful design. The game is noteworthy for its unique presentation.

WarCraft: Orcs and Humans is an RTS set in a fantasy universe, and the debut game from Blizzard Entertainment (an American studio, previously going by the name Silicon & Synapse). The events of WarCraft: Orcs and Humans take place in a fantasy land of Azeroth, where the conflict between humans and orcs takes place. The players choose their side and attempt to conquer the other. Mechanics-wise, the game is somewhat reminiscent of Dune II by Westwood Studios, although here, the gameplay was supplemented with a number of new solutions. The main task of the player is to gather resources, develop the base, and produce new units to fight the enemy. For each side there are 12 missions, featuring some adventure elements, where, apart from defending their base and trying to destroy the enemies, the players will also have, for example, to level an enemy city, or go into the underworld to bring back fallen comrades.

An RTS with turn-based elements, developed by Cyanide Studio. The game is based on George R.R. Martin's bestseller book series, A Song of Ice and Fire – however it is set hundreds of years before the events known from the books, and the plot focuses on the unification of the Seven Kingdoms. The players can participate in the eponymous game of thrones, the intrigues among well-respected nobles. The game's core is the story campaign, divided into eight chapters, each of which is focused on a different time period. Additionally, the game offers an extensive tutorial; there is also a House vs. House mode, which gives the players a complete freedom in unifying Westeros under their banner. During A Game of Thrones: Genesis we not only participate in wars but we also create alliances, send spies and even contract killers. What is interesting is that we should not only invigilate our enemies but also allies – alliances, created thanks to the diplomacy system, which offers a lot of options, won't guarantee us complete safety – our allies can be bribed by the enemy and we never know when they will begin working against us. Besides the single player modes the game also offers multiplayer.

The third full-fledged installment of the popular series of turn-based strategy games. The Firaxis Games studio, founded by Sid Meier after leaving Microprose, is responsible for its creation. As in the previous iterations of the cycle, in Civilization III we take the wheel as the leader of a selected civilization, and our task is to guide it through the subsequent eras of development, from 4000 BC to the present day. Our duties include e.g. systematic expansion of our lands, foundation and development of new cities, training of military units and settlers, development of new technologies and either leading our nation in war or establishing good diplomatic ties and relations with other nations. There are several roads to victory, aggressive expansionism being only one of them. Sid Meier's Civilization III features 16 playable civilizations, each of which is distinguished by a unique character and skill set. The third installment introduces army commanders, as well as rare resources essential for the production of specific weapons and technologies. Graphic design has been improved significantly, and the gameplay experience is further enhanced by a professional soundtrack.

An innovative real-time strategy game set in a fantasy universe. Dungeon Keeper was created by Peter Molyneux’s Bullfrog Productions, the studio known for the Populous and Syndicate series. Unlike many dungeon crawlers popular in 1990s, Dungeon Keeper does not put you in the shoes of an adventurous hero, instead letting you play as a demonic lord of dungeons. Your main task is building an expansive net of dungeons and defending them from raiding heroes. To achieve this you have to put up various fortifications, set traps, and fill endless corridors with armies of monsters. At the same time you have to keep an eye on your economy, by looking out for new deposits of gold and diamonds, needed for dungeon expansion as well as recruiting and training of your warriors. Dungeon Keeper offers a single player campaign made up of 20 main missions and 5 extra missions, each one with specific objectives. The game also offers 4-people multiplayer with 15 dedicated maps. Gameplay uses isometric view, which is typical of the RTS genre.

The game takes place in the fictional Paradise City, which consists of an island with an airport, a bay with skyscrapers and hills that are free of any infrastructure. The game combines dynamical driving with impressive crashes and breaking the traffic regulations in a way that is typical for the series. Burnout Paradise slightly refreshes the classic formula of the series. One of the main novelties is taking the action to an open world across which one can move freely, completing various challenges. In contrast to the previous games, the gameplay concentrates slightly more on typical races while the Crash Mode (here called Showtime) known from the previous installments is only an addition which can be activated at any moment of the game. The title uses a completely new driving model and physics engine which is responsible for damage model of the vehicles.

In every one of those, our task is to control the stream of sounds in a way that makes it fill the containers placed in the level. This can be achieved by using special icons that change the path and speed of flight of a sound beam as well as its color if set correctly. When it reaches its target in the right shape, we can hear one of the songs composed solely for the purposes of the game.
