The second official expansion pack for the 2002 role-playing game Neverwinter Nights by BioWare. The plot of Hordes of the Underdark follows the events of the first expansion: while the protagonist rests in Waterdeep, the city is attacked by an army of monsters from the underworld. To save the city, you have to discover why the monsters, up until now hostile only towards each other, teamed up, and destroy their alliance. Unlike Shadows of Underntide, the gameplay was created with high-level characters in mind and the difficulty level is clearly harder. The game introduces six new prestige classes, previously unknown locations, monsters, items, spells, abilities and weapons, as well as the option of having another companion in your party, while the maximum character level has been raised to 30.

The first stand-alone expansion for Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. Similarly to its predecessor, the action of the game takes place during World War II – Silent Heroes enables us to assume control of a group of six Soviet saboteurs. The game offers a new campaign consisting of 10 scenarios, involving numerous actions behind the German lines. The unit’s tour of duty includes assassinations of enemy officers, destroying radars, or taking over strategic locations. Elite Troops of WWII is characteristic for its engine, well-suited to the character of the gameplay – each object can serve as a hideout or an ambush location, while our units can make use of an extensive arsenal, including knives, pistols, or rifles. We are also given the ability to control certain vehicles and armament in order to use them during numerous clashes. Aside from numerous fixes that were introduced following the release of the original game, the authors have decided upon small updates to graphics and sound effects.

Another entry in a classic platform series from Konami and a third part of the trilogy developed with Game Boy Advance console users in mind. The main hero of Castelvania: Aria of Sorrow is Soma Cruz, who loses consciousness during the first eclipse of the 21st century and wakes up in a mysterious Medieval castle. It turns out that the eclipse had a lot to do with dark forces, and the solitary protagonist has to find a way out of the fortress, while dealing with legions of various enemies. In terms of game mechanics, the title doesn’t differ much from previous productions from the Castlevania series, combining arcade slasher with RPG features. During the game, our hero can use different types of weapons, attacks and spells gained as we progress through the game. Enemies we face are greatly varied and require equally varied tactics.

The player witnesses an alternative course of the Second World War, in which Hitler struggles to create an army of undead super soldiers. The player is put in the shoes of B.J. Blazkowicz - an American commando, whose task is to eliminate the source of the threat located in the titular Castle Wolfenstein. Similar to PlayStation 2, the Xbox console received its own edition of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which has been enriched with an additional assignment that takes place in Africa - it is the prologue that familiarizes the player with the events that took place before the protagonist got captured by the Nazis. In terms of the mechanics, the game is a robust shooter featuring stealth and action elements. Blazkowicz is able to perfectly handle various firearms used during the World War II as well as futuristic weapons. The protagonist encounters various enemies; among them, one can find regular enemy soldiers, mutants, skeletons or zombies for instance. The multiplayer mode for up to 16 players gathered via Xbox Live is an additional feature the game comes with.
