Another one of the numerous expansions to the popular turn-based strategy game Europa Universalis IV developed by Paradox Development Studio. Cradle of Civilization focuses on expanding features related to the Middle East and Muslim empires. It introduces many new solutions like new types of governments, the possibility to create Muslim schools that enable the player to increase their diplomatic power and the possibility to create trading policies by assigning missions to the merchants – the missions aren’t necessarily focused on earning money. The list of key novelties is supplemented by: greater influence over the army (for example, it is possible to create military discipline) and the option to abuse specific provinces (easy money is balanced by slower development in long term). All of it is based on the same technology as the one used in the base game and it doesn’t introduce any novelties to graphics or sounds of the game.

This lets us witness another chapter in the history of the Assassin Order, the rise of which we could see in the base title. Assassin’s Creed: Origin – The Hidden Ones doesn’t change any of game’s mechanics – the only thing that developers from Ubisoft Montreal have changed was increasing the amount of experience our character can earn. Other than that, the add-on focuses on introducing new arena, where we can find both main story missions and various side activities.

The gameplay builds on battles taking place in special 2D arenas. The player assumes the role of a warrior who represents one of the ten available combat styles that differ from one another in terms of special abilities and weapons used. When in battle, one can use his bare fists, cold steel (e.g. swords and katanas), ranged weapons (e.g. shuriken throwing stars, throwing knives), and a wide range of both offensive and defensive spells. The key to success lies in swift dodging and blocking enemy blows, as well as mounting counterattacks. Additionally, the battlefields can be demolished, which opens new strategic opportunities to the players. The gameplay becomes gradually more dynamic - the longer one plays the game, the faster his character moves.

Developed by PD Design Studio, Dusty Raging Fist is a 2D brawler and a prequel to the well-received Dusty Revenge. The story of the game is set before the events shown in the previous installment. The main protagonist - Dusty - accompanied by two of his most faithful friends faces the task of defeating the ancient forces responsible for the disappearance of children from all over the fantastical realm. To achieve this, heroes of this story have to obtain the power of the elements that originally were wielded by the so-called Mythical Guardians. In Dusty Raging Fist, one gets to traverse diverse locations and fight hordes of enemies that include both minor adversaries and much more powerful bosses. Battles are very dynamic, and in order to succeed, a player has to skillfully switch between the character’s special abilities; the trio makes use not only of the broad range of melee and ranged attacks but also of the aforementioned elemental powers.

An adventure game featuring elements of the so-called walking simulators and developed by the independent studio Act 3 Games. The protagonist - Stanley, is a man whose past is unclear to the player. The plane he had been using to travel with his wife crashed on a frozen island near the coast of Iceland. The two survived the crash, but end up separated. The protagonist's goal is to reach his wife who is trapped in the wreck that is located on top of a mountain. Also, Stanley has to remove any evidence that could reveal their identity or their secrets to a rescue team that is heading towards the crash site. The player explores the snow-covered wild lands and collects notes from Leonore's journal - those contain pieces of information concerning the characters' past. Furthermore, the player often solves environmental puzzles (thas how you overcome obstacles and other difficulties encountered on your path). Survival elements play a crucial part in The Fidelio Incident, as the player has to make sure that Stanley gets warm by a fire or thermal waters regularly - otherwise he can end up freezing to death. The experience is complemented by high-quality visuals.

As we play, we lead a party of heroes we have personally created. Exploration of the game's world (mostly made of bigger and smaller towns and dungeons) is presented from a first-person perspective. Gameplay utilizes elements of competitive and coop multiplayer. Players have to cooperate in order to defeat some of the obstacles, but, in the end, there can be only one winner.
