The role of a story campaign is played by the events called the Rallying Calls that can last for months with thousands of players taking part in them.

It is up to the two of them to stop another zombie threat and make sure that no one knows about Chuck’s involvement in the whole undertaking. Dead Rising 2: Case West does not introduce any changes to the gameplay mechanics, which are still based, first and foremost, on eliminating hordes of adversaries using a fancy and more or less makeshift weapons arsenal. What is new, however, is the cooperative mode, in which up to two players can complete this new chapter of the Dead Rising series. The new game mode makes it possible for players to come up with new methods of zombie extermination, which also affects the gameplay.
