In Dragon’s Crown the player becomes a hero looking for gold and glory. In order to reach their objective, the heroes must pass through forgotten ruins and face monsters inhabiting them. The protagonist can belong to one of six character classes with various abilities. During the game the player can move only in two directions and the gameplay is fast and intensive. Many various opponents will try to stop the player, to defeat each of them different battle strategies must be employed. The greatest challenge are the boss battles, usually consisting of several phases. The game focuses mostly on a cooperation mode for up to four players.
