A racing game developed by the independent studio T-Bull. The action takes place on the streets of a fictional city – the metropolis, divided into five districts, is an area of operation for various gangs, keen on eliminating each other. The player receives a task to defeat the bosses of the racing underworld, and acquire the title of the king for themselves. The gameplay focuses on the titular drag racing, known as 1/4 mile races. The action is seen from a side perspective, while the gameplay boils down to shifting the gear at the right moment – as the races take place on a straight line, we don’t have to control the wheel. The virtual garage allows us to choose from 69 cars, among them a prototype model FSO Warszawa, a real legend among Polish motorists. Top Speed: Drag & Fast Racing is a single player-only title. Aside from classic races, the game contains a special Most Wanted mode, in which the players drive police cars from five different countries, trying to catch the criminals who found their way to Most Wanted posters. The game is powered by Unity technology, and visuals are pleasant to watch.

A simplified version of Football Manager 2016 - another installment in the bestselling sports manager games series. It was developed by Sports Interactive with mobile platforms in mind. In the game, we assume the role of a manager of a football club playing league games of one of 50 countries. In comparison with the full-fledged installments of the series, the title lacks a number of business aspects of managing a club, focusing mostly on player selection and setting up match tactics. In addition, the manager's job includes the handling of player transfers and sales of the best players. Compared to its predecessor, Football Manager Touch 2016 is significantly more complex. We can watch every match thanks to implementation of the game engine known from the PC version. Moreover, the game offers a new mode, Create-A-Club, which allows us to form our very own football club from scratch.

It’s set in 18th century England, with players acting as a young aristocrat, one Lady Cornelia Darkmoor, who in her spare time transforms into a masked robber, the titular Shadowhand. The game is a narrative adventure game, so we move between locations and learn the story of the heroine. However, there are card game features as well, in the form of different variants of solitaire. This results in around 200 duels, which will let us collect many useful items and weapons. Shadowhand uses static, but pleasant visuals, somewhat resembling the casual titles from the hidden object genre.

The player's goal is to stop the forces of the Warsaw Pact before a nuclear cataclysm happens. Both the visuals and mechanics have not changed since the base game and the creators have focused mainly on preparing a new, extensive story campaign. Hyper Void is an arcade shoot’em up game inspired by the classics like Gradius, Salamander, Nemesis, Xeon 2: Megablast and Tempest. The game was developed by two brothers from the independent studio IN|Framez and is their first big production. We play as a spaceship pilot who travels through subspace tunnels. Our ship, which constantly moves forward, is presented from a third-person perspective. Controls are limited to steering right or left as we face numerous enemies. HyperVoid offers 29 playable levels, half of which ends with difficult boss fights. Our enemies’ formations, and the overall design of levels, are generated procedurally, making each playthrough a unique and challenging experience.

A two-dimensional arcade game for mobile devices, created by Protostar. The player assumes control of a monkey with remarkable stretching ability. The mechanics of Sling Kong are somewhat similar to the Angry Birds series. Our monkey has the ability to shoot itself, like a sling shot, using its elastic arms in certain points. There is only one way for us to to go, and that is up – a task which is made difficult by the fact that the points disappear after a short while. This does not allow even a moment’s rest, while the locations are filled with numerous obstacles such as mobile platforms, crushing totems, or fire-searing flowers. We receive special gold coins as a reward for each successful playthrough, and unlock other friendly animals which can be used in next games, improving our high scores. Sling Kong uses simple, albeit funny and cartoonish visuals.

Arcade, 2D, Indie Games, Platformers, Side-scroll, Singleplayer.

A re-imagining of a 2D platform puzzle game for Wii and NDS, which is a remake of a classic hit originally published in 1989 for Famicom (NES). The game tells the story of a boy and his bizarre, jelly-like fella called Blobert. He needs to find a way to save his planet Blobolonia from an evil emperor, who imposes an unusual diet on his people - composed entirely of sweets. The two heroes set out on a dangerous journey with the purpose of finding the objects necessary to defeat the emperor while his minions try to stop them. The key to success in this classic platformer is to use Blobert’s special abilities, which can be developed by feeding him with a variety of colorful jellybeans. Compared to the original version from 1989, the re-imagining features completely new visuals and slightly changed mechanics – the range of moves and abilities of the hero is much bigger.

A World War II themed mobile strategy game developed by Picneko Creative, a Korean studio focusing on mobile game. Pocket Platoons allows the player to choose either Axis or Allies and participate in the largest military conflict of 20th century. The gameplay foundations do not differ much from what the genre has accustomed us to – we are tasked with base development, training and upgrading units, as well as recruiting officers, who can change the outcome of numerous battles. The game offers a single-player campaign (with over 300 stages and hundreds of missions to complete) and an interesting multiplayer mode, which allows not only for classic one-on-one battles, but also team clashes, with up to 10 players participating at once. Pocket Platoons employs two-dimensional visuals in “super-deformed” style, which portrays soldiers and vehicles in a very cartoonish manner.

Strategy, Historical, Multiplayer, PBeM, Singleplayer, Turn-based.

A new installment in a popular series of turn-based games, created as a joint effort of Byzantine Games and The Lords Games. The game takes us to Europe during the age of pike and shot (1494 – 1698), introducing three separate campaigns encompassing 40 historical battles from the Thirty Years’ War, the English Civil War, and the series of conflicts between Austria and Ottoman Empire, including Siege of Vienna. Additionally, the game introduces a “skirmish” mode which creates a fictional campaign taking place on randomly generated maps. The gameplay in Pike and Shot: Campaigns 1494-1698 does not differ much from its predecessor. Players control a chosen nation, engaging in tactical battles requiring a number of strategic decisions which can influence the course of the whole campaign. Victories, as well as defeats contribute to mental state and battle readiness of our soldiers. Aside from a single player mode, the developers introduced a multiplayer module employing PBEM++ system. The game employs high-quality visuals, inspired by battle scenes from that era.

Puzzle, 2D, RPG Elements, Match-3, Singleplayer.

A mobile match-3 logic puzzle game with role-playing elements, and the successor of the well-received 10000000. Your main task in You Must Build a Boat is, as the title suggests, building a boat, which will eventually become a home for the protagonist and the monsters he catches. The game begins on an old boat, barely staying afloat. In time, however, you earn funds, which you use on improving it. In the story campaign, you travel through various lands and dungeons in search of treasure, and encounters many enemies on his way. The gameplay of You Must Build a Boat focuses on the match-3 mechanism. You attack your enemies by combining three right icons; this way is also how you also use a shield, cast spells, avoid traps and open treasure chests. Like its predecessor, You Must Build a Boat features oldschool 2D visuals.

A mobile science-fiction/horror twin-stick shooter game, stylistically similar to Alien Breed. Xenowerk was developed by Swedish studio Pixelbite, the creators of the well-received Space Marshals. The story is set in an Arctic research station, taken over by monsters, which were bred there. You play as a member of a team sent to neutralize the threat. The story campaign gives you missions with various objectives, focused mostly on battling hordes of enemies. The gameplay centers on shooting the enemies you encounter with a wide range of weapons, which can be upgraded. You observe everything from the point of view of a camera located above the protagonist's head, and you control him with a pad with two analog sticks (you move around with one and target with the other). Xenowerk features a dynamic and spectacular gameplay, and also a multiplayer mode allowing you to compete with your friends.

Strategy, Arcade Elements, Games Workshop, Board & Card, Post-apocalypse, Cars, Singleplayer, Tactics.

An original turn-based strategy created by Auroch Digital. Blood Red States is an adaptation of a board game known as Dark Future and released in 1988 by Games Workshop. The players are taken to a post-apocalyptic world destroyed as a result of a global cataclysm. Well-armed squads known as Sanctioned Ops serve the role of law enforcement now, patrolling the ruined roads and highways. Assuming the roles of the squads' leaders, the players take part in spectacular chases, going after various mobsters and gang members. The experience was based on an unusual pattern, as the gameplay is turn-based and the sides give orders to their units at the same time; afterwards, they observe several seconds of real-time action, when their orders are being executed. The key to success here is not only to react to the opponent's actions, but also to predict their moves and initiate risky maneuvers that can tip the balance in favor of the player's victory.
