YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG is a surrealistic jRPG set in the 1990’s. It was developed by the independent developer Ackk Studios, creators of games like Chromosphere: The Two Brothers and Two Brothers. The story focuses on the mysterious disappearance of Sammy Pak who was taken by supernatural forces while using an elevator. Her friends decide to embark on a dangerous journey to save her. The single player campaign will give us around twenty five hours of gameplay. Our party of eight moves around an isometric-presented map, every once in a while taking part in turn-based battles against our enemies. The game uses Unity Engine. Visuals in YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG are much different from what we can see in other jRPGs as the game lacks any sort of manga-inspired style. All of the game's dialogues are voice acted.

Nothing has changed in terms of gameplay. We explore the game’s world, do quests, catch more and more Pokemon, and take part in turn-based duels with other trainers. Pokemon Ultra Moon supports the PokeBank app that allows us to transfer Pokemon caught in other games of the series.

Realms of Arkania: Star Trail HD is a remake of the second installment in the best-selling RPG series that was originally released in 1994. The remake was developed by Crafty Studios. The game is based on the The Dark Eye tabletop RPG system and its interface was significantly improved and brought to modern standards, which can be seen in character portraits, new icons, and indicators. Realms of Arkania: Star Trail now also has a minimap. The plot continues the story from the previous game of the series. Our heroes have to unite elves and dwarves in order to create an army capable of facing the orcs. To do so, they have to find two powerful artifacts, the Salamander Stone and a legendary dwarven axe. As we play, we lead a party of heroes we have personally created. Exploration of the game's world (mostly made of bigger and smaller towns and dungeons) is presented from a first-person perspective. The point of view changes to isometric when we enter combat. Properly using our characters skills and abilities will make us victorious in battle.

She Remembered Caterpillars is a isometric 2D puzzle game developed by Ysbryd Games. She Remembered Caterpillars takes us to a weird world where we have to find our missing father. A bigger emphasis, however, is put on the gameplay mechanics (manipulating the colors), not the plot. During the game we will control colorful creatures that move around small maps and can only cross bridges that are of the same color as them. The fact that our colorful monsters can fuse themselves and create a monster in another color, like purple, will make achieving victory much simpler. With that fusion, the created monster can cross bridges of both colors that created him. On every level from the forty available, we have to make sure all of our creatures crossed the bridges and end up on special white tiles.

A strategy game featuring dozens of armed conflicts that happened since the beginning of the 20th century. The Operational Art of War IV is a yet another installment in the series comprising turn-based strategy games developed since 1998 and published by Matrix Games. The players get over two hundred scenarios at their disposal, during which they can participate in the First Battle of the Marne, the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, Operation Market Garden, and the Falklands War. Like in the previous installments, the game offers a wide range of tools allowing the player to design his own skirmishes and military campaigns. The battles take place on the maps covered with a hexagonal grid, while the units controlled by the player are represented with icons. In spite of its simplicity, the visuals in The Operational Art of War IV offer a good degree of complexity in terms of the strategical layer, while the available units (including infantry, tanks, airplanes and naval forces) are described with a number of statistics and factors determining their combat efficiency.

Super Stickman Golf 3 is another installment in the 2D arcade games series started in 2011 by Noodlecake. Just like in the previous games in the series, the developers have taken a not-too-serious approach to the rather snobbish and old-fashioned sport. There are twenty types of golf courses available in the game: from Sherwood forests, through deserts, and all the way to arctic glaciers. Players will have to place the ball in a hole with the smallest number of hits. As we play, we will encounter many different obstacles, like trapdoors, traps, portals, etc. We can play as one of the thirty five available characters, such as mummy, surgeon, or sunbather. There are many different bonuses available in the game, like cards that will level up our character or their equipment. The game has colorful visuals. Super Stickman Golf 3 has a multiplayer mode that allows the player to compete in real-time or in turns.

Fetch shows player’s character from the side perspective, and every puzzle features arcade sequences. Occasionally, the game will also change into an arcade minigame with various objectives: from feeding rainbow snake with fishes, up to battles against pirate ships. Fetch employs good-looking, colorful visuals that resemble Pixar’s movies. Official concept arts and built-in complex guide are nice additions.

Mechanics-wise, the production resembles a first-person shooter set in cyberspace. Every server we break into is a visually different location, densely filled with various enemies and security measures. For our successes, we are awarded credits that can be spent on special content packs with equipment: from disposable items, through server mods and Praxis Kits, to new kinds of weapons. Players who would like to develop their character faster can make use of the built-in microtransaction system. Visually, the game offers an unusual style since almost all elements of the environment are composed of polygons.

Quarantine is a turn-based strategy game, in which we manage an international agency established to fight against pandemics caused by viruses, bacteria, and prions. Our main task is detecting diseases, halting their spread and developing therapies to cure the infected. We must also recruit specialists from various disciplines – medics, scientists, diplomats, and security forces’ agents – and send them on missions to different parts of the world. As they gain experience, they also develop new skills and become more efficient. We must also collect samples, conduct researches, upgrade technology and set up quarantines to stop diseases from spreading. Our efficiency determines how much funds our organization receives, which can be used to upgrade our command center and equipment. The progress of epidemic is managed by complex artificial intelligence modules, thanks to whichthe germs can e.g. get through quarantines or mutate, becoming immune to the therapies we developed.

Messages, notes, pictures, and videos found in the phone’s memory can help you out with this, and so can the in-game assistant. What adds to the game’s originality are the unusual graphics, made to look like a standard smartphone operating system.

1-2-Switch is an original party game developed by Nintendo for Switch, their newest console. Gameplay is based on two-person competition - players take part in various contests, playing as pirates, gunslingers, and other characters. What makes 1-2-Switch stand out from the crowd of other similar games is that we are not watching the screen while playing, but facing our opponent face to face. Thanks to that unique approach, the screen is used mostly for showing the score. 1-2-Switch also makes a good use of the console's unique features, allowing every player to use one of its detachable controllers.

A turn-based 4X strategy game developed by Silver Lemur Games. The action of Stellar Monarch takes place in the distant future. The player assumes the role of a galactic emperor whose duties include managing his dominion and keeping more or less peaceful relations with other races found throughout the galaxy. The 4X stands for explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate - your four basic activities in the game. Nevertheless, Stellar Monarch is characteristic for its lack of micromanagement – we are free from managing individual units or buildings, taking care of our empire through edicts, decrees, or diplomacy instead. The world of the game is inhabited by numerous races, from primitive beasts to advanced civilizations that can be reasoned with using diplomacy. Stellar Monarch uses simple, two-dimensional graphics.

Ember is a typical RPG that is inspired by and refers to the classic games of the genre. It was developed by N-Fusion Interactive. The game takes us on a journey through a fantasy world. We play as a druid whose job is to bring back the old order after a group of adventurers decided to try and take control of the power of the stars. The game is presented from an isometric perspective. As we play, we mostly explore the game's world, complete quests (there are over seventy of them), and fight with the encountered enemies. To achieve victory in combat, we have to skillfully use our hero's and his companion's abilities. Combat takes place in real time, featuring active pause mechanics. As we progress, we gain access to more powerful attacks. We advance our heroes by giving them better equipment or by upgrading the items they already have. Ember features decent visuals.
