Super Meat Boy: Forever is a spin-off of the Super Meat Boy series developed by Team Meat. Once again, we get a 2D game where action is presented from a side-scrolling perspective. This time, however, we do not have full control over the titular character. He continuously runs ahead, we can only help him avoid all sorts of traps and obstacles. We will also have fight with powerful bosses every once in a while. In addition to single player, the game offers the so-called Endless mode where we have to run as far as possible and survive as long as possible. Our score is then published in online rankings when we can compare our times with the achievements of other players. The game has cartoonish visuals and lots of dark humor in it. Super Meat Boy: Forever has many references to other games, i.e. unlockable characters from various indie productions.

Highway Getaway is a racing game/endless runner hybrid developed jointly by Invictus Games and Vivid Games. We play as a race driver who is being chased by the police. The game takes place on the streets with heavy traffic. All race tracks are generated procedurally. All we have to do is to drive as far as possible and beat the records set by other players. Highway Getaway offers over two hundred diversified missions. As we progress and achieve better results we will unlock new cars and gain access to new visual modifications, which we can buy for the in-game currency that we get while playing. How much money we make depends on our achievements. Driving at high speed and performing dangerous maneuvers increases our infamy levels, for which we are being paid by a TV station that produces a show about car pursuits. Highway Getaway features great visuals and highly detailed car models.

Arcade, Auto-runner, Experimental/artistic, FPP, Indie Games, Polish, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.

A surrealistic arcade game from the Polish Evil Indie Games studio, set in an alternate version of the year 1994. It shows a grim, retrofuturistic vision of future, as imagined in the 70’s. In the age of a totalitarian regime that tries to break all opposition, we play as an ordinary clerk, who is given the task of delivering a message to someone known as the Ice Queen. Gameplay-wise, No Thing is a rather classic arcade game from the endless runner genre, where we observe world from the perspective of our hero, who automatically runs through narrow, floating paths. We must turn at correct moments to remain on the track and avoid colliding with obstacles. Game offers a campaign (with a very twisted plot) mode or an endless mode, the latter with a never-ending path and us trying to go as far as possible.

An arcade endless runner game based on the popular animated TV series titled SpongeBob SquarePants. The game is one of the popular productions accompanying the full-length movie about SpongeBob. The gameplay mechanics revolve around controlling the continuously running SpongeBob in an attempt to cover the longest distance possible on the procedurally generated map comprising three tracks filled with diverse obstacles and numerous collectibles. In order to achieve the best score, the player can evolve SpongeBob into his more powerful version or utilize a number of vehicles (e.g. Patrick’s burger car). Unlike most so-called endless runner games, the procedurally generated levels have an end – it is represented by a portal, which takes the player to another land, where they can continue the game. SpongeBob: Sponge on the Run delivers a pleasant 3D visuals, which follow the humoristic style featured in the animated TV series.

An unusual, rare combination of an autorunner with a narrative rhythmical game, developed by Digixart Entertainment studio led by Yoan Fanise, former Ubisoft employee and the creator of Valiant Hearts. The story of Lost in Harmony: Kaito’s Adventure is set in an unknown futuristic world, across which the protagonist – young boy named Kaito – rides on his skateboard, carrying his friend, Aya, on his back. Each chapter represents one of the hero's phobias, such as fear of water, heights, or crowds. Kaito’s skateboard moves automatically, and the player has to avoid various obstacles by turning right, left, or jumping in right moments. However, all of this is directly connected to the background music, which not only affects the gameplay, but is also used for storytelling and expressing character’s emotions.

The levels, called “episodes” in-game, are endless, although you can progress to the next one after earning a certain amount of points. Every character has a special ability, which helps them overcome obstacles (e.g. Sonic can triple-jump and Knuckles is super-strong, which makes him hit harder). The game features nicely designed maps full of platforms, enemies, and obstacles, making it more difficult to break records. You can find many collectibles and fight various bosses. The characters can be upgraded (they have three statistics: speed, strength, and acrobatics) and unlocked. The game's beautiful 2.5D was inspired by classic 8-bit and 16-bit console productions. Arcade, Auto-runner, Singleplayer, Sonic, TPP, Free-to-play.

The second installment in a series of endless runners developed under the auspices of SEGA, specifically for mobile devices. The game uses the license of the Sonic Boom TV series (Cartoon Network). Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom is played from the third-person view and the player assumes the roles of characters such as Sonic himself, Knuckles, Tails or Amy. The player's goal here is to cover as long a part of the route as possible. One encounters different obstacles and enemies, but the in-game store allows the player to buy new characters, upgrades or power-ups, which boost the capabilities of the heroes. Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom comes with high-quality 3D visuals; the game is a free-to-play title which uses microtransactions.

Arcade game from the category of endless runners, in which we play a pair of high mountain climbers, escaping from the stream of lava falling from the top. During the game we have to be able to slide down the ropes, avoiding traps and dangers lurking on our way.
