Demolish & Build 2018
Simulation 08 March 2018
Another installment of a building simulator series created by Noble Muffins studio. We play as an owner of a construction-destruction company and our task is to be sure that we get a steady income which we can earn by completing various orders such as constructing new buildings and renting them as well as hiring new workers and taking care of their equipment. Our employees can use various tools such as hammers, but they can also use smaller or bigger machines, e.g. diggers, bulldozers, cranes or a remote controlled robot that can work under the most harsh conditions, hard-to-reach or dangerous places. Demolish & Build 2018 offers four huge locations, in which we can construct or destroy things – just like in the previous games, we can manually place explosives inside buildings, destroy a few walls or control the aforementioned heavy equipment. Additionally, the game offers a multiplayer mode, in which we can play with other players. The graphics used in this game are rather good.

A survival-oriented sandbox with randomly generated, fully destructible environment, and gameplay based on the famed Minecraft. Rising World takes us to a randomly generated world which can be explored and shaped according to our preferences and without limitations. We begin the game with only a few basic tools, with the initial phase of the game oriented around survival in the wilds. As the game progresses, we start gathering various resources, cut trees, and hunt wild animals. Thanks to an extensive crafting system, we can construct more and more complicated tools and items. Aside from construction, we can also engage in digging extensive networks of tunnels. Interestingly enough, almost all of the created items can be utilized in some way, e.g. a fully interactive piano. Rising World offers both single and multiplayer gameplay. The graphics are built using voxels, which makes the visuals much more realistic than the ones in Minecraft. The game is also characteristic for its advanced physics engine.
Logic 12 July 2016
A humorous logic game developed by Dry Cactus, a small studio for which Poly Bridge is the debut title. We assume the role of an engineer building bridges and other constructions that allow various vehicles to cross the river. Poly Bridge is mainly directed towards puzzle enthusiasts and home-grown engineers, as the game gives us a limited budget, a convenient location, and a task to build a bridge that is able to hold the weight of heavy-duty vehicles. Cutting corners during the planning stage will result in a tragedy, with the driver and the passengers increasing the casualty toll. The difficulty level increases as the campaign progresses, and simple constructions made in the initial phase of the game quickly give way to complex structures, streamlined as to stay within the available budget. As a somewhat of a tradition of this genre, the game uses an advanced physics engine and an uncomplicated editor that allows us to create our own levels.
Train Station Renovation
A simulation game in which we play the role of a conservator of abandoned railway stations and trains. At Train Station Renovation we restore devastated stations and repair, clean and paint old depots.
Strategy 08 September 2016
An economy simulation strategy game developed by SomaSim and inspired by the 1994 Sim Tower by Maxis. The action of Project Highrise takes place in modern times, and the player assumes the role of the manager and the architect of a skyscraper under construction. The production isn’t fully realistic since the building is erected in stages so that the completed floors can be used by inhabitants and workers, providing us with the money necessary to complete the construction of the remaining levels. While playing, we have to carefully select investments, optimize costs, meet our customers’ requirements, and balance the budget. The game gives us a lot of freedom in organizing business, though. We can turn our skyscraper into a place of entertainment and relax for tourist, focus on providing offices for companies, create expensive apartments, or try to combine all of these strategies.

When Ski Lifts Go Wrong
Logic 23 January 2019
A logic game than enables the player to assume the role of the constructor of ski lifts, ski jumps and bridges. The developers from Huge Calf created a series of usually pretty but hard tasks. The maps aren’t large, but they are filled with hills, holes and high trees that make the task harder. Limited budget and weak construction elements are an additional trouble. Because of all that, in Carried Away the player must be very clever to create a safe and cheap lift. Luckily, the devices provided by the developers are easy in use and combining parts of the lift shouldn’t be problematic. This enables the player to quickly implement new ideas and see their positive and negative effects. In addition to single player campaign, the game features a level editor that enables the player to select scenery and create maps on which they can place ski lifts. The maps can be also shared with other players or downloaded from the internet.
Demolish & Build Company 2017
Simulation 18 October 2016
A building and demolition simulator created by an independent team known as Noble Muffins and published by PlayWay. Demolish & Build Company 2017 casts the player in the role of a company owner who both builds and demolishes various structures. Gameplay as such was based on two pillars here - destroying buildings and constructing new ones in their place in order to rent the new buildings. The game is played from the first-person view, allowing the player to grab a hammer and attack the walls by himself or plant explosives in critical structural points. Heavy machinery is at the player's disposal as well - one can make use of bulldozers, cranes, excavators, loaders, as well as steamrollers and trucks. Spectacular destruction is guaranteed by the capabilities of an advanced physics engine. Simultaneously, the player has to take care of running the business, which includes managing the workers appropriately, as well as buying new tools and machines for money gained both from renting the buildings they constructed and acquiring special bonuses for being an effective destroyer.

By destroying various blocks of material the player obtains resources which then can be used to craft various tools or even construct whole buildings. Once properly prepared and armed, the players can use special portals to move to procedurally generated mission areas where, together with other players, they can complete various objectives and conquer enemies. For that they are awarded with items, experience points, and special magic stones. Players that prefer rivalry can use separate portals which will teleport them to dedicated PVP zones.

Simulation 16 April 2015
Another simulator created by Gamecask and published by PlayWay. In the game, the player assumes the role of a construction company president with a goal to achieve financial success. Construction Machines 2016 is based on two main aspects, the first one being the strategy – in this case, one gets to manage an entire enterprise, sign new contracts, and invest the money one has earned in order to unlock more profitable undertakings and some new locations. The second aspect is the simulation itself, where the players can operate numerous construction machines and construct, demolish, or maintain buildings with their own hands. Among other things, the players get at their disposal excavators, huge construction cranes, and dump trucks. What is worth mentioning, the player has to maintain and improve the aforementioned machines – in total, the game offers 40 upgrades to install on the vehicles. The entire experience becomes even more interesting with all the available tools, such as wrenches, hammers, and even some explosives. Construction Machines 2016 is based on a new technology and the 3D visuals present a relatively high-quality execution – especially the dynamic demolition system, which delivers satisfying animations of collapsing structures and other elements from the environment.
