Medieval Dynasty is an intriguing mix of Dynasty series of life simulators with action RPG and survival from the Polish studio Render Cube. We begin as a modest medieval hunter trying to survive in the wilderness to found his own city over time.
Medieval Dynasty is an action RPG life simulator with elements of survival and strategy developed by Polish studio Render Cube. This is the second production of the team from Lodz and completely different from its debut project: Monster League go-kart racing game from 2018. This time the Poles created a realistic production set in the Middle Ages, reminiscent of the Czech Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game is also another part of the Dynasty cycle of Toplitz Productions, although clearly different from its predecessors.
The protagonist is an eighteen-year-old peasant who, after the death of his parents, leaves his family home to find a job and enter adulthood. He counts on help from an experienced uncle, but it turns out that the relative has been dead for some time. Thanks to the help of a local castellan, the young man receives a piece of land and decides to take care of his future on his own, with an ambitious plan to establish his own settlement and gain a reputation in the area. In the process, she will also learn about her uncle's mysterious past.
The gameplay in Medieval Dynasty bring to mind the Kingdom Come Deliverance of the Czech Warhorse studio. The action is observed from the first person perspective (TPP), and the gameplay focuses on exploring the open world of the game. In it we can find NPCs who can give us various tasks, but also hostile bandits and wild animals. The beginning resembles typical survival games: we try to take care of the hero's basic needs by providing him with water and food, hunting and farming. It's also important to gather basic materials and build Racimir a simple house. Over time, you'll gain access to more advanced resources, needed to upgrade the structure and create more durable tools.
The main goal of the game is to create your own village, and over time to transform it into a prosperous city. In the game you will find 18 types of buildings, which you will be able to develop as you unlock the next options from the hero's skill tree. The game is varied by numerous side quests and challengesas well as the possibility of starting your own dynasty of magnates.
This involves a special system of reputation, shown by the king's interest in our dynasty. In any case, our decisions have a significant impact on the gameplay. Moreover, as the village develops, we will have to take care of the economy, trade with neighbors and take care of the well-being of the subjects.
The 3D graphics in Medieval Dynasty focuses on realism. The game world changes with our actions (the game allows for interaction with many objects, e.g. trees, stones, etc.), and the dynamic weather and seasons also have an impact on the game. Wild animals, not only faithfully reproduced, but also interacting with each other in the same way as their real counterparts do. The game is based on Unreal Engine 4, thanks to which the graphics are basically high level.

GRYOnline.pl: 7 / 10
Render Cube studio has prepared a very pleasant and relaxing game. Medieval Dynasty is like a distant cousin of Animal Crossing - an FPP game on a budget, without multiplayer, but available on PC. It's worth playing once version 1.0 debuts. If you're new to this game and genre, I assure you - it is a survival like no other.
Chalgyr's Game Room: 7.5 / 10 by Nick Herber
Medieval Dynasty is a fun mashup of survival, RPG and building simulation that works far more often than not. The visuals are attractive and the world is fun to explore, even if the characters discovered during the exploration could be more engaging. There is a lot to do – but the pacing of Medieval Dynasty can make for a satisfying if slow-burn experience that I enjoyed but certainly won’t be for everyone.
Dexerto: 7.5 / 10 by Sam Smith
Medieval Dynasty has transitioned well to consoles after being a PC-only release for some time. It’s nice to know that a larger audience can experience what it offers, even if that audience is niche. We played the game on Xbox Series S and were impressed by the performance and visuals. The game was always pretty, but it looked extra pretty on a 55-inch TV screen. It’s not going to match most triple-A titles, but what it does, it does well. It’s hard to recommend Medieval Dynasty to everyone as this is a title that’s been designed with a certain type of gamer in mind. If you’re the sort of player who spends more time building settlements in Fallout than you do shooting raiders, or someone who spent hours building and furnishing the perfect lodge in Skyrim, then you’ll love Medieval Dynasty. Just don’t expect hours and hours of excitement.
