Another installment in the Football Manager series developed over the years by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. In similarity to the previous installments, the player's job is to lead a football club as a manager, who is in charge of both the team as such, and some additional duties, such as managing a stadium or maintaining good relations with the media and the fans. The player's main goal however, is to build a good team that is capable of winning both in the league and during the most important championships. In order to achieve this, the player has to make use of experts that help in training the footballers, choose tactics before matches, acquire new players, sell redundant ones, prepare for problems (for instance, one of the key players gets injured), and keep the funding-related issues in mind. In Football Manager 2018, one can lead one of 2500 clubs with their origins in 50 countries. This gives over 600 thousand footballers and assistants.

A streamlined version of Football Manager 2018 that focuses strictly on team management and tactics, leaving out the remaining elements such as PR, management, or the club’s infrastructure. Nonetheless, the game plays out almost the same as the previous installments of the series – our task is to lead the chosen team to victory. Our duties include team management, transfers, choice of tactics, and training. The chosen tactics can be modified before or during the match or simply left to the AI, which will simulate the whole meeting. In opposition to the standard edition, which offers access to over 600 thousand players, Football Manager Touch 2018 offers a streamlined database with 190 thousand players and 2500 clubs from all around the globe

Football Manager Mobile 2018 is a special edition of Football Manager 2018 developed by Sports Interactive, designed for smartphones and tablets. Unlike its original version, the game does not allow a player to experience 3D matches, features poorer database, and simplified interface. On the other hand, the game delivers all of the most important functions. This means that a player has to come up with tactics before each match, change the players, purchase and sell players, tend to the club’s budget, and use the help offered by the talent hunters. All this makes Football Manager Mobile 2018 a much more dynamic game, perfect for e.g. a break during the work; but it also offers many possibilities, which make the game one of the most advanced applications available on the market. The game has been published by Sega and is available at a much smaller price than Football Manager 2018 and Football Manager Touch 2018.

Adjusting the complicated gameplay model from PC to mobile devices’ specifics translated into some simplifications in the match simulation engine, limiting the database, and changes in the interface.

In the game, we assume the role of a manager of one of more than 2,5 thousand football clubs from over 100 different leagues, trying to provide our team with both sports and financial successes. Football Manager Touch 2017 follows the path set by its predecessor and offers a much faster gameplay than that of the major installments of the series, at the same time being more complex than the mobile version. Such effect was achieved thanks to abandoning many business aspects of the gameplay and focusing mainly on transfers and match tactics. Compared to its predecessor, the new edition is characterized by a number of enhancements in graphics and mechanics as well as the previously unavailable multiplayer mode.

In the game, we assume the role of a manager of a football club playing league games of one of 50 countries. In comparison with the full-fledged installments of the series, the title lacks a number of business aspects of managing a club, focusing mostly on player selection and setting up match tactics. In addition, the manager's job includes the handling of player transfers and sales of the best players. Compared to its predecessor, Football Manager Touch 2016 is significantly more complex. We can watch every match thanks to implementation of the game engine known from the PC version. Moreover, the game offers a new mode, Create-A-Club, which allows us to form our very own football club from scratch.

Compared to the full-fledged installments in the franchise, Football Manager Mobile 2016 offers somewhat simplified gameplay, although it has many more features than Football Manager Touch 2016, also for mobile devices, which was released simultaneously. The trade-off is that the database is limited to the 14 most important world leagues. The gameplay itself does not deviate from the standard solutions of the series – in the game, we have to select a proper squad for each match, decide on player transfers, set training plans, as well as take care of the club’s budget and our employees’ and supporters’ satisfaction. Compared to its predecessors, the production was enriched with a number of novelties and enhancements, particularly an improved interface, new tactical instructions, and an extensive training module.

Our task is to train our players, manage team tactics during matches, arrange transfers and use our team's budget wisely. We also need to be in good relations with media. The Classic version offers a quicker and slightly simpler gameplay when compared to the regular Football Manager 2015 released on PC. The most important element of this game is its huge database that contains 117 leagues from 51 countries and 150 thousand players. Moreover, for the first time for mobile releases of games from this series, we can use a full 3D view of a football field. The matches are realistic, dynamic, which forces us to create complicated tactics, and, sometimes, they can be unpredictable. Football Manager Classic 2015 offers easy-to-understand graphics that mostly consist of various tabs and windows, and was developed with touch screens in mind.

The eleventh installment in the most popular soccer manager game franchise, originated as Championship Manager back in 1992, and was developed continuously by the British studio Sports Interactive. Traditionally, the game lets you become a manager in one of a few hundred clubs belonging to several dozen soccer leagues from all over the world. As always, there is also an array of innovations and changes. One of the key ones is an option of getting couching licenses and training your team personally. Furthermore, the game introduces new tactical options, new player roles, and individual player shouts. Furthermore, scouts and computer AI were improved. What is noteworthy in terms of visuals, is the new UI, which brings back the side tool bar, and introduces multiple changes in match engine, new animations, more detailed stadiums and player models, as well as enhanced shading and lighting.
