Gameplay mechanics are very much similar to those we will find in FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer series. We lead a football team and play more and more matches. It was developed by Saber Interactive, a studio mostly known for their futuristic first-person shooters like TimeShift and Inversion. In NBA Playgrounds, players take part in basketball matches. Even though the gameplay is based on classic rules, it has not much to do with reality. The players can jump incredibly high and do various tricks during those jumps.

Depending on our position we can participate in different types of competitions.

This game represents a very arcade approach to golf, although quick fingers are not the only thing that is necessary during the game. The developers implemented a rather realistic physics system which means that, in order to succeed, we need practice, skills and knowledge of the game mechanics.
