The latter requires the player to shape the surroundings, for example, by deciding how much vegetation is to grow in a particular area or giving different colors to it. The game world is dynamic, for it changes when the player roams it. Thus, places visited before can look completely different when the player goes back to revisit them. What is important however, is that the player is not forced to follow the designated path. Instead, the game rewards the player for wandering off the beaten path and thinking on their own.
