How to get to Gizeh?
You can reach Gizeh for the first time only after completing the main quest The Stolen Cat Mummy - you must complete all steps of the investigation in the Vatican. The heroes will sneak aboard a Nazi zeppelin and travel to Egypt. After meeting Nawal (your new ally), you'll begin the main quest, The Idol of Ra.
Gizeh main map
This is the main, largest map of Egypt. It consists of a number of locations, such as the dig site, the Sphinx, Voss's Camp, and a village with a large number of NPCs.
Similar to the Vatican, some locations on the map are restricted areas and are heavily guarded by Nazis (especially the large northern camp). Depending on the location, you can sneak there while freely exploring the map or get there as part of one of the quests. A Wehrmacht uniform can be useful, allowing you to avoid detection except by enemy officers.
Khentkawes Dig and Tomb of Khentkawes
You can go down to the large tomb as part of the Secret of the Queen Mother Fieldwork. Indy must first get to the large excavation site and then solve the puzzle of activating the elevator leading to the underground tomb.
While exploring the tomb, you can, among other things, complete the mural puzzle, thanks to which Indy will obtain a stele.
Sanctuary of the Guardians
Visiting the Sanctuary is part of the fieldwork of the same name. It is located beneath the Great Sphinx on the main Gizeh map. You must solve the puzzle that opens the Sanctuary, as well as the puzzles involving the golden mask and the mirror statue. It is also a location connected to numerous collectibles necessary to complete the collection.
Ancient Caves
Indy will reach this location towards the end of his visit to Gizeh. This happens after solving the resonance chamber puzzle. In the caves, you must, among other things, solve the puzzle with the three gates, and survive the encounter with the blind guard. There are many secrets in the dungeons, including various murals to photograph.
Fast travel in Gizeh
You can use fast travel on the the main map of Gizeh. It's limited to signposts located at different points of interests - you have to visit the signpost first to unlock it.
Mysteries, fieldwork, and discoveries
While in Gizeh you can complete:
- 6x Mysteries - these are smaller quests related to solving puzzles;
- 3x Fieldworks - these are bigger side quests;
- Discoveries – these are various smaller activities.
Secrets and collectibles

- Lost Artifacts - you can find 5 items of this type.
- Medicine Bottles - you can find 25 bottles in total.
