Indiana Jones Great Circle: 2 Symbol Pedestals puzzle (A Study in Fear)

Symbol Pedestal and Another Symbol Pedestal are related to puzzles in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. On this page of the guide, we have described the puzzles in A Study in Fear fieldwork. You will learn how to obtain the Circle Key and the Cross & Circle Key as well as how to use the keys to correctly set the symbols on both pedestals. Entrance to the Khmer Vault

1. As part of the fieldwork A Study in Fear, set in Sukhothai, there are 2 very similar puzzles to complete: the Symbol Pedestal puzzle and the Another Symbol Pedestal puzzle.
2. You must first reach the Khmer Vault. Shortly after you start exploring this quest location, Indy will meet Annika, his former student. The girl will help you solve some puzzles in the Khmer Vault.

Symbol Pedestal puzzle, how to arrange the symbols?

1. The characters are trapped in a place with a Symbol Pedestal (initially you won't be able to interact with it) and a blocked passage.
2. Examine the right wall. Light the straw with the lighter to reveal a knob. Interact with it.

1. The pedestal with the symbol will be set in motion ; its circles with different symbols will now rotate constantly. You can take a photo of the pedestal.

1. Wait until Annika comments on the mechanism and collect the Circle Key. Indy can store keys in his inventory, but this one will come in handy right away.

1. You can place the Circle Key in the central hole of the pedestal; this will stop the outer circle.
2. Wait until all 3 symbols are in one row: we have shown this in the screenshot. Quickly remove the key. The exit from the room will be unlocked. If you've made a mistake, place the key in the slot again and wait for the right moment.

Another Symbol Pedestal puzzle, how to arrange the symbols?

1. You will reach the second pedestal a few minutes later, after stopping the large cogwheels in order to unblock the passage for Annika. After entering the new room, you can take a photo of the second pedestal.

1. Explore the back of the room. In the place shown in the screenshot, you can grab the hook and pull it. This will provide water flow and make the pedestal move.

1. On the ground next to the skeleton you will find the Cross & Circle Key. This is an important collectible because both keys are needed to solve this puzzle.

1. Start by using the Cross & Circle Key on the central slot of the mechanism.
2. Remove the key when 2 symbols from the inner circles are in the same row. An example is shown in the screenshot.

1. You now need to open your inventory and switch to the Circle Key (screenshot above), the one you've already used to solve the first puzzle.

1. Place the Circle Key in the slot, then wait for the moment when the symbol from the outer circle is in the same row as the other two (see the screenshot above). Once it is, quickly remove the key.
2. The exit from the room will be unlocked. You will have to crouch to use it.
