ER Nightreign never ceases to surprise. A good example of that is a player who after 250 hours discovered a new mechanic. This one may save your run.
Elden Ring Nightreign still manages to surprise players, despite the fact that it was launched quite some time ago (May 30, 2025). And not only with secrets or unique items that have a very little chance of dropping, but also with mechanics. There is at least one example of a little-known feature, which is a lifesaver (literally), and it is worth everyone learning about it.
It often happens that players after dozens or even hundreds of hours discover something new in their favorite game. It is no different in the case of FromSoftware's latest production, Elden Ring Nightreign. ERN is all about proper planning of where to go in order to strengthen your characters (such as Recluse or Guardian), but you need to hurry, as you don't have a whole day. After a while, night falls, and exploring during this period causes players to receive damage which increases over time.
Sometimes, however, the situation is so dire that the low amount of health and the lack of healing makes characters collapse and eventually die if no one revives them. With help comes a player MarshalBrasil313. He posted a video on Reddit of his accidental, however epic battle against the night.
He and a good number of the commenters didn't know that if characters lose all their HP, they can crawl to the nearest Site of Grace, which is the POI that allows you to upgrade your character. If they are close enough to it, the characters will be revived and restore HP, FP and Flasks of Crimson Tears. This is a mechanic that can save more than one run.
Admittedly, dying at a Site of Grace requires a little bit of luck, however, if it happens, try to crawl to it. THanks to this trick, you will avoid death, loss of level, and valuable runes.
