Alan Wake 2 Launch Date? Voice Actor Spills the Beans

Matthew Porretta, the voice actor playing Alan Wake, has revealed an approximate release date for Alan Wake 2. The game is expected to hit stores in less than six months.

We have new reports about the release date of Alan Wake 2. The actor providing the voice of the main character, Matthew Porretta, claims that the title will be released in October 2023.

Alan Wake 2 in October

The actual statement begins at 16 minutes and 45 seconds of the interview.

"I'm currently working on a game to be released in October. Last week I was in Finland - Remedy's headquarters is located there," Matthew says

At this stage of the interview, the name of the game is not mentioned, but the lion's share of it was devoted to describing the actor's cooperation with Remedy, for which he is lending his voice for the third time - he previously did so for the games Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare, and is currently working on the highly anticipated sequel. Therefore, no one doubts that he is talking about Alan Wake 2.

Is the stated release date realistic?

Most likely. In November 2022, the CEO of Remedy announced, that if the development of Alan Wake 2 progresses without complications, the game will debut in 2023. Last month, Tero Virtala admitted that the game is already in the final stages of work and will come out this year, so apparently everything is going well for the developers.

Still, these are only verbal confirmations, unsupported by at least a trailer (gameplay aside). Adding to the fact that the studio currently has as many as five different projects "on its mind", the doubts of some people about the game's release this year are not unfounded. They will certainly be dispelled only by the publication of a trailer, showing the game "in action".

According to the latest rumors Alan Wake 2 is expected to debut in October 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. The title will be a sequel to the first game and is expected to impress with its complexity. On PC, it will be a title exclusive to Epic Games Store.
