We have known unofficially for almost a year that Ubisoft is working on a project called Assassin's Creed: Nexus, an installment of the popular series designed for virtual reality. Now rumors have emerged, according to which the publisher is already planning a sequel, although the first part has not even been formally announced yet.
Recall that according to earlier rumors Assassin's Creed: Nexus is expected to enable us to play as many of the most famous characters from the brand's earlier installments, such as Ezio (AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations), Haytham and Connor (AC3) or Kassandra (AC: Odyssey). The game will supposedly offer a campaign with sixteen missions and several movement modes. Stealth kills are said to require an appropriate flick of the wrist simulating the use of a hidden blade.
It is quite possible that the sequel will feature other celebrities from the series' rich history as playable characters.
For now, there is no word on when we can expect the official announcement of AC Nexus. However, fans of the brand will not be able to complain about a lack of attractions this year, as the release of Assassin's Creed: Mirage is scheduled for 2023.
