Assassin's Creed Nexus Announcement at Ubisoft Forward; Trailer

Ubisoft has released a trailer for the upcoming Ubisoft Forward show. It will bring, among other things, the official announcement of Assassin's Creed: Nexus, a VR game that will run on the Meta Quest 3 goggles.

Ubisoft reminded of its planned game show. Today, the French have released a trailer for the Ubisoft Forward event (available below), during which they will showcase a number of upcoming games. It will take place on June 12 at 7 p.m. CET.

One of the main attractions is expected to be the official announcement of Assassin's Creed: Nexus VR - installment of this popular series, which was developed with VR goggles in mind. We already know that the title will be released in 2023 and will support Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 3, which was announced today.

It is expected to hit store shelves in the later part of 2023. Although their optical profile will be 40% thinner than previous goggles, the device will offer much higher resolution. In addition, it will be equipped with a 128GB drive and a Snapdragon chipset, expected to provide twice the gaming performance of Quest 2. Prices are expected to start at €569.

Returning to AC: Nexus, it is worth recalling that this is supposed to be a game that will enable us to play as protagonists known from previous installments of the series - including Ezio (AC II, Brotherhood and Revelations), Haytham and Connor (AC III) and Kassandra (AC: Odyssey). According to reports from a year ago, the title is expected to offer sixteen story missions and the ability to immersively perform assassinations with the hidden blade - i.e. through a flick of the wrist, which is how the title's assassins extract the weapon.

This, of course, will not be the only game we will see during Ubisoft Forward. The trailer above also announces demonstrations of Assassin's Creed: Mirage - whose release on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S is scheduled for October 12 - and such games Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora or The Crew Motorfest. So there is much to look forward to.
