Recently, there have been regular rumors suggesting that the next instalment of Assassin's Creed will be set in the Viking age. The latest speculation has led to the discovery of an item called Assassin's Creed Ragnarok - Valhalla Edition in the German branch of Amazon. It was quickly removed, but the cat was out of the bag and the fans were able to make screenshots.
Of course, until the official reveal of the project, these rumors should be approached with caution, but we bet that they will be covered in reality. These types of Amazon accidents have long been a good source of leaks about unannounced projects and most of them turn out to be true.
Moreover, if it was a mistake, the shop would probably only have a basic version of the game. The fact that there is a special edition with a specific name suggests that such a product is actually in the pipeline, as it is hard to imagine that some little-known Amazon employee would make up the title of such an edition.
Recall that rumors suggest Assassin's Creed Ragnarok will be announced in February this year. If this is indeed what Ubisoft's plans are, then the appearance of Valhalla Edition in Amazon's offer is not surprising, as the stores are probably already preparing to take pre-orders for the game.
According to rumors, on February 12, this year Sony will reveal PlayStation 5, so it is possible that Assassin's Creed Ragnarok will be announced together with the console as one of its launch titles. However, the game will surely also be available on other hardware platforms. The reports suggest that beyond PC the game will appear on both current- and next-gen consoles.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that a few days ago there were a lot of new rumors about Assassin's Creed Ragnarok, concerning such elements as plot, gameplay mechanics and the presence of fantastic elements.
