Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Patch 1.1.1 Available

Ubisoft has released a new update for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Title Update 1.1.1 fixes a ton of bugs and glitches, as well as introduces Ubisoft Connect achievements on PC.

Update 1.1.1 for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla went live today. Depending on the platform, the patch weighs from 2-3 GB (on both PlayStation) to 6.45-7.5 GB (on PC and Xbox). The list of changes is long, with most of them being fixes for various bugs. However, there was one new feature: support for Ubisoft Connect achievements on PC. Previously trophies were only available on consoles, but now they can also be obtained on PC. Minor (but important) additions include new accessibility options, such as the ability to translate in-game writing (i.e. letters) into speech.

However, if we disregard the new features, Title Update 1.1.1 focuses entirely on fixing various bugs. Many of these were related to side activities not working properly: misplaced (or missing) characters and loot, not receiving rewards for a mission or the next task from the main storyline, and getting stuck in a boss fight. Also bugs with black screen that greets the player after building the smithy and the inability to check the cows during the quest "Fiend from Hell" were fixed. What's more, the option to kill enemies in Vinland by throwing corpses at them disappeared.

There were also technical improvements. Ubisoft improved the game's performance and eliminated a lot of visual bugs, such as poorly placed textures, low resolution of raven skins or problems with the interface (for example, not displaying the icons of god's favors). Also the photo mode was improved, which distorted children's faces when zoomed in. There are also some game mechanic tweaks, including whales trying to flee in mid-air after jumping out of the water, and guards looking indifferent to setting their fellows on fire with oil jars. Furthermore, an issue introduced by patch 1.04 which prevented some players from using the fast travel system has been fixed. The full list of changes introduced in update 1.1.1 can be found on the game's official website and on Reddit.
