Bad Pixel Art at Its Finest; Lunark Demo and Trailer Available

The developers at Canari Games have shared the trailer for their new game. Lunark is a title for fans of classic 90s platformers.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Lunark received its first trailer;
  • It's a platformer inspired by 90s classics;
  • A demo of the game is available on Steam.

If you are a fan of retro games and you miss the platformers from the 90s, the creators at Canari Games have something for you.

The independent developers have shared the first trailer of Lunark, which takes us to the surface of the space colony Albaryne and the Moon transformed into a huge space station.

Return to the pixel art past

Lunark is the debut work of Canari Games. The game is a pixel art platformer that draws clear inspiration from classics such as Prince of Persia or Flashback.

The game takes us to a dystopian future, in which humanity has been forced to leave Earth. As a result of an ambitious project, the moon was transformed into a giant spaceship, which set off on a journey to find a new home for our species.

This place turned out to be the planet Albaryne, which over time became a new human colony. This community, however, is ruled by a despotic artificial intelligence, which directs a huge army of robots from its base on the moon.

Dexterity above all

Our task, of course, will be to incite a rebellion against the evil AI. For this purpose, we'll travel through various locations and meet numerous NPCs. The plot will be illustrated by numerous cinematic cut-scenes.

While exploring subsequent levels, the game will put our dexterity to the test, because each location will be riddled with traps. On our way there will be also opponents, which we will have to defeat or avoid.

The developers promise an engaging adventure, but you don't have to take their word for it. You can already download the game's demo via Steam, so you can easily check whether Lunark is a game for you.
