Amazon Sends Out Battlefield 2042 Beta Codes Despite Rescheduling

One Reddit user reports that he has received a code for Battlefield 2042 beta, despite the game's release being pushed back to November 19.

Despite Battlefield 2042's release being pushed back to November 19, not everyone has taken the new date to heart. One Reddit user claims, that this morning he just received a code for the game sent from Amazon, where he purchased his copy. The code is supposed to provide early access to BF 2042's beta.

"This morning I was sent an email with my promotional code for my BF2042 order on Amazon. When I redeemed the code it showed that it was for Battlefield 2042 Early Access Beta:

It's odd they send it out now. I wonder if it could be happening this or next week since their product descriptions now says: "Pre-Order Battlefield 2042 for PC by September 23rd, 2021 to unlock early access to the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta. Must be shipped and sold by Amazon. Codes will be sent within 24 hours of early access start date."

This most likely means that someone at Amazon sent the codes to the early access beta regardless of the date change. It's unclear at this point how many people received them by mistake, but Amazon and EA will certainly have to look into the matter. Currently, we don't know the date of Battlefield 2042's next test, but if Tom Henderson is to be believed, Early Access beta will begin on October 6, and two days later the beta will open its doors to the rest of us.

Battlefield 2042 will launch on November 19, 2021. The game is coming to Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
