Battlefield 2042 Beta Problems Didn't Discourage Gamers From Preordering

Last week, Steam was rulee by Battlefield 2042 and New World. Players rushed to place preorders for the former despite the many problems that arose during open beta testing.

Last week we tested Battlefield 2042, the latest installment in DICE's hit series of network FPS games. They were divided into two stages - initially only people with preorders and EA Play subscribers took part in the game, and then everyone was allowed to play. Impressions from the beta were quite mixed, mainly due to technical problems. It turns out, however, that this did not discourage players from buying this game. Different editions of BF2042 have taken three spots on last week'stop 10 bestseller list (by revenue) on Steam. What's more, Battlefield V has also returned to the top 10 .

At the hottest moment of the open beta in Battlefield 2042 the was played by 156,665 people on Steam. This is the best result in the history of the series, and it should be remembered that the PC version was also available for testing outside of Valve's service.

The interest of PC players in the new Battlefield is huge and heralds a very successful launch. It is scheduled for November 19, 2021. The game will be released simultaneously on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Not only Battlefield was the last week's spotlight for PC gamers, though. The preorder of DICE's latest game was unable to knock New World off its throne, which defended the first position on the bestseller list. Another edition of the project also took sixth place in the list. The game from Amazon Games studio also achieves impressive activity results. Yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day it was played by 727,333 people on Steam.

The developers of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl also have reasons to be happy. This platform fighting game debuted on the fifth spot on the list. It also met with a warm reception - 84% of user reviews on Steam are positive.
