Bethesda has revealed what we can expect from the next Starfield updates. The plans include city maps and new ways to travel.
In the next post on Reddit the creators of Starfield have slightly expanded next year's roadmap for the game. In addition to the new features we've cited below, they also mentioned additional ways to customize ships and more "gameplay options" for adjusting the difficulty level. In addition, it was mentioned that the first stor expansion Shattered Space will be released in 2024.
Released this September, Starfield continues to be supported. In addition to the standard minor updates, which mainly fix some bugs, we will also get brand new mechanics. From an update published on Reddit by Bethesda, we learned some information about the game's planned development.
The developers claim that in the first months of 2024, fans can expect a number of new features; among them will be:
The above news (and not only them) are part of the next regular updates, which in the main will still fix bugs, such as those related to quests - Bethesda has developed a new system for this purpose, so that you won't have to play with game saves every time. Such patches are expected to appear every six weeks.
Yesterday Starfield received a small patch, which addressed only a few bugs. A specific problem with saving was fixed, as well as the one related to the generation of random weapons in a crate in an outpost. A shortcoming with the so-called "pet asteroids", i.e. space matter that followed the player's ship, was also supposed to be removed. Well, that's the problem - it was supposed to be, but wasn't.
Although according to Bethesda the problem has been resolved, many people still report that they are struggling with unwanted asteroids "following" the ship. Part of such players even claim that they now see two objects following them, while before the update it was just one asteroid.
Bethesda can at least partially admit to being unable to fix some ridiculous bugs. The developers pointed out in the list of changes that the problem with the player being followed by New Atlantis (yes, anentire city) still exists, although it is expected to be eliminated in a future update. Let's hope the annoying asteroids are not forgotten in the process.
