As fans of the game have noticed, BioShock Infinite, released in 2013, has been receiving regular updates on PC for quite some time now. As a result, players have started to speculate about the reasons for this unusual situation.
It's been almost a decade (two days ago we celebrated the ninth anniversary) since the release of BioShock Infinite and despite the passage of time, the title still manages to arouse the interest of the fans.
Recently we have observed an interesting phenomenon - at the end of the last year, the PC version of the game started receiving regular updates every few days (via SteamDB). The changes began to be introduced in September last year, and began to increase in intensity over time. In March alone BioShock Infinite received more than a dozen patches.
Due to the influx of updates, speculations have begun to surface as to why the nine-year-old BioShock is being tampered with.
Regardless of what is behind the regular updates for a game from two generations ago, it probably will not remain a secret for long. 2K, however, remains silent for the time being.
