Bloober Team Reveals Its Long-term Plans

Bloober Team has unveiled its strategy for 2023-2027, with the company confirming its plan to become a global horror leader. The team is involved in as many as 10 projects, seven of which are video games.

Ongoing Games Invest Forum 2023 - an event where gaming companies from Poland and the world discuss the true values in the game industry. As scheduled, Bloober Team - the main sponsor of GIT - presented its strategy for 2023-2027.

StockWatch has already published the full presentation [in Polish], which was demonstrated to the event's attendees. It confirms Bloober Team's plan to become the world leader in horror. This is to be helped by:

  • new branches (in Warsaw and Los Angeles);
  • the adoption of a long-term strategy to be based on three pillars: psychological survival horror games, expansion through cooperation and (greater) creative freedom for the team.

This last aspect may need to be clarified. The point is that so far Bloober Team has focused its games on driving the narrative through the environment. However, in the team's future projects, action is to come to the forefront, which will deepen the immersion flowing from the game. As stated by Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno (via StockWatch, translation by GamePressure.com):

"We stay true to our DNA - our games use fear to help the players face the problems of everyday life. They provide a kind of catharsis, helping people deal with real fears. It's no coincidence that currently so many game are a tad "darker." Horror as a genre is most needed when there are social unrest, wars, economic crises in the world.

We want to create a company that will not only have positive financial results, but above all fundamental values. We are building it not for the nearest fiscal quarters, but for decades. That's why we focus on the most important value in this industry - the people. Our strategy is not just a document for shareholders, but first and foremost the fundamental essence of future actions."

So let's get down to specifics - what projects is Bloober Team working on or intends to work on? There are as many as 10 of them, 7 of which are video games:

Finally, it is worth mentioning that in 2023 Bloober Team intends to go debut on the stock exchange, as well as a reminding of the company's cooperation with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) - an American organization representing numerous talents from the worlds of video games, film, music or sports (including. Obsidian Entertainment, Respawn Entertainment, Aerosmith and Steven Spielberg).
