Callisto Protocol a Bit Closer to Perfection on Consoles [UPDATE: New Patch]

Console versions of The Callisto Protocol have received a patch to stabilize fps and eliminate bugs. More patches are on the way.

This time, the developers have good news for those playing The Callisto Protocol on PC - the game has received another patch to optimize the performance of this version. At the same time, it was announced that work is underway on the next patches for PC and consoles.

Yesterday we informed that the PC version of The Callisto Protocol received an update that significantly improved its performance. On the same day Striking Distance Studios released a patch that boosted the game's performance on consoles.

The developer assures that the patch fixes problems with frame rate drops and eliminates bugs that players have reported. More patches are reportedly on the way - we are expected to be informed of them later "early this week."

The updates should bring, among other things, improved reflections generated through ray tracing - especially on the Xbox Series X, as it was on that console that players had the biggest problem. The developer claims that shadows created by ray tracing technology "work and look great," but the former aspect needs improvement.

It turns out that he's not the only one. Players report that the HDR function also doesn't work on XSX. So it can be expected that it too will be improved in the coming days.

The Callisto Protocol was released on December 2 on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S. The game is collecting moderately positive reviews from industry reviewers and slightly more negative ratings from the players.
