This Cookie Jam guide will help you with this weekend’s Buzzword for “prank or magic.” If you’re stuck on this one, here’s the answer.
Last weekend’s Buzzwords were all about food, but this time Cookie Jam is serving up a real mix of everything. There’s some animal-themed like “furry friends that wag their tails,” or “some glow in the dark underwater,” but then we have things that don’t fit so neatly – like “mix of black and white,” “you set up a tent in nature here,” or “pictures that show data.” Even “pranks or magic” is tricky to pin down to one topic. But you’re probably here for the answer, so here it is.
Thank goodness there are only fourteen letters to pick from when guessing a Buzzword in Cookie Jam, because if we had the whole alphabet, I’d probably still be stuck on this one. So, without further ado:
“Trick” is one of those versatile words that can mean a bunch of different things depending on the context. At first, it might seem a little vague, but looking back, the hint actually makes a lot of sense. We use “trick” all the time when we’re talking about pranks, like harmless practical jokes you pull on your friends. And it definitely applies to magic as well, you’re way more likely to hear someone say “magic trick” than “magic illusion” in everyday conversation.
Whether it’s someone pulling a prank or a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat, it’s still a trick. In both cases, it’s all about deception, but the fun kind, where the goal is to entertain or get a laugh, not to actually fool someone in a mean way. So “trick” really ties both ideas together nicely.
Anyway, don’t forget to check out our other Cookie Jam guides. We have the answer for “edible flower bud,” and “flour comes from this.”

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
