Call of Duty: Vanguard Teasers Flood the Internet

What do you do when a leak reveals crucial information about a yet unannounced game? Confirm them with a funny series of tweets and teasers. This seems to be the conclusion reached by the creators of Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Rumors and leaks can spoil the plans of game publishers, who usually ignore or immediately deny any unofficial information. A different approach was taken by the creators of the Call of Duty series, who referred to yesterday's reports about Vanguard with an amusingly tweaked animation. The owner of the Twitter account did not care either about the comments of confused netizens, nor posts of equally confused colleagues from the British CoD account and Raven Software. At least for a time, although the action gained him the applause of the community.

As a reminder: August 12 brought with it a lot of information about the new installment. The release date and testing schedule, the game's setting, the system of dynamic weather - all this and more were contained in recent leaks. Of course, as always, the reliability of their sources remains an open question, but a funny post on CoD's Twitter may indicate that they are true and this leak does not bother the developers. At least one of them, because one can wonder if the team at Sledgehammer Games and Activision Blizzard really do not mind the person who runs the account having some fun.

To make things even funnier, the animation featured in the post is not a random GIF, but... a snippet of the trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard. At least that's according to tipster Tom Henderson, who also received even more teasers of the game. They were also sent to other influencers.

This all seems to confirm that the announcement of Vanguard is just around the corner. From the leaks, it seemed that we will see the game as early as Thursday, August 19. Meanwhile, the release date was allegedly set for November 5, with PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 as the target platforms. Whether this will in fact be the case - we'll probably find out next week.
