Many developers have decided to capitalize on the crazy popularity of Squid Game. We've already written about projects based on the Netflix series in Roblox, as mods for Minecraft and mobile games. Now this hype is also available on Steam thanks to the success of the project titled Crab Game.

The title is a multiplayer game and enjoys great popularity. The game debuted on October 29, and last night it set a new activity record at the level of 33,427 players. The position for a short time became also a hit on Twitch - broadcasts from the games were followed by 214 thousand viewers at one point.

The game was developed by Dani Deverson and his friends. It deserves praise that the creators do not try to make money on the series. Crab Game is a completely free item. There are no ads or microtransactions.

The game offers three-dimensional graphics and FPP view. Up to 35 players can take part in one match. Crab Game offers 28 maps and nine game modes, modeled on the games from the series.

Squid Game is the most popular series in the history of Netflix. In the first four weeks after its release, the series was viewed on 142 million accounts. According to analysts, the brand is already worth $891 million.

The popularity of the series makes it not surprising to see the emergence of a ton of projects that are unofficial adaptations of the production. Netflix has also recently announced that it is considering developing its own games based on Squid Game.
