Crossplay between GTA 5 Enhanced, Legacy and consoles explained
Do you play Legacy edition and would like to team up with those who own Enhanced or consoles and vice versa? Let’s talk about it.

GTA 5 Enhanced version is the center of attention right now. However, not always for good reasons. The game has many issues – crashes, quiet audio or problems with data migration. However, there are some features which fans expected and they are not here like HDR or… text chat in Online component. There is one more though – crossplay.
Crossplay between GTA 5 Enhanced and Legacy explained
Yes, that’s right, if your friends have both Legacy and Enhanced versions, they will not be able to play together. Of course, it is strange for many, as separating one playerbase is not a common move. However, it is an official statement from Rockstar, so we doubt anything will change in this matter.
PC Players who want to play with each other will need to ensure they’re playing the same version of the game. Both versions will be available to everyone who upgrades — and first-time purchasers will get access to both versions as well.
Keep that in mind when inviting someone for an GTA Online session.
Crossplay berween GTA 5 Enhanced and consoles
Some fans hoped that now, when consoles and PC players have the same version of the game, it will be possible to play together. Sadly, the answer is no. It seems that at least at this point the game does not allow for crossplay. However, we will see what the future holds. Let’s not keep our hopes up though, if we don’t want to be disappointed.
