The Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 brought long-awaited new content, but also a slew of glitches hampering the gameplay. Out of them, the elevator bug is especially problematic, as it might lock you from progressing through the game. Here is what you can do about it.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty - Elevator Bug; Heist Glitch Explained

The Heist is a major job in Act 1 of the Cyberpunk 2077, accessible even without the DLC. Since the update to version 2.0, players who have Phantom Liberty installed, as well as those with only the base game, have been experiencing a serious glitch. The bug causes the characters to fall through the hotel elevator, preventing further progress.

It appears that, for some players, falling through the floor of the elevator may only occur when two characters are riding it at the same time, but it is not a rule.

A possible fix to this issue is lowering your graphic settings and reloading the game before the elevator segment. It indicates that the problem is connected to textures not loading fast enough.

As the bug and other problems with loading in assets have been reported even by players who use high-specs devices, it is speculated that the problem might be rooted in the optimization of the game. Unfortunately, if changing your settings does not help, you might have to wait for the developers to patch the glitch.
