The turn of 2023 and 2024 brought reports about mass layoffs, and everything indicates that they will soon affect more devs. However, the developers of Helldivers 2 aren't just retaining old employees, but are actively seeking to bolster their team with new experts. The first job offers are already available on the official Arrowhead Game Studios website.

Johan Pilestedt, the CEO of the company, stated on X that the studio aims to accelerate the release of new content for the second Helldivers. It's not unexpected, as the title has become Sony's most successful PC game in history and despite initial technical issues (stemming from the game's popularity, which caught the devs off guard), it rapidly gained player recognition.

That's why Arrowhead Studio is looking for experienced creators who will help expand Helldivers 2 with new content. Right now, the company employs over 100 people.

Pilestedt didn't mention what the devs will be preparing now, and the official road map is still unavailable. However, the developers have already mentioned on social media that we will shortly learn about the development plans, as soon as the team prepares a visual road map.

Another update has also been released for Helldivers 2. Patch 01.000.006 sets the foundation for the upcoming matchmaking fixes and has already upgraded this system. The patch has eliminated further errors causing the game to forcibly close or disconnect from the game servers.
