Diablo 3 Season 4 Fixed With Quick Update. Blizzard Nerfed Traps

Blizzard didn't make players wait long: Diablo 3 Season 4 has received an update that fixes the biggest issue of the Constructs Season and makes useful improvements.

Blizzard actually listened to players and the new patch for Diablo 4 fulfilled the wishes of players disappointed with the launch of the Construct Season. The patch appeared before last weekend, so players had time to check the extent of the introduced changes (via Reddit).

What's funny is that arguably the best one of these improvements still gave players a reason to complain. Version 1.3.0a allows players to de facto ignore traps that were the bane of the third season of Diablo 4.

Traps nerfed

So far, activating such an obstacle caused us to lose Zoltun's Warding charge, necessary to open the chest located in the last room of the vault. In practice, this meant that if a player fell into traps too often (which are invisible unless we use special boosts), they could not get bonus treasures.

Not only has the new patch more than tripled the number of Zoltun's Warding stacks earned by using seasonal Pearls of Warding (from 3 to 10) -- players can also collect 999 stacks instead of 300.

According to players, this is enough to get all the treasures from the Vault even after numerous traps triggered -- including a lot of experience points and an absurd number of items (via Reddit/PC Gamer). Especially since some of these obstacles have further been nerfed in various ways (e.g. by reducing hitboxes).

In essence, this eliminates the biggest pain of the Constructors' Season. However, some players now point out that this actually erradicates the main idea of the entire season. Sure, the traps needed some nerfing, but players seem puzzled that Blizzard actually decided to base new content on them in the first place. Users previously wondered whether the creators had even tested their ideas before the third season launched (although, to be fair, such remarks are mostly invalid).

Seeing the number of changes and, above all the pace at which they were introduced (just three days after the launch of season 3), some Internet users suspect that Blizzard was aware of these problems and was working on solving them even before the update was released. Especially since just a day earlier Adam "PezRadar" Fletcher wrote that it would take the developers some time to share more information about season 3 patches.

You can also look at it more positively: Blizzard doesn't hesitate to abandon ideas that players did not like and that seem to spoil their fun. Which interpretation to choose, is up to the players.

Helpful Seneschal

Changes related to the new pet were more positively welcomed. Blizzard has made it easier to power up the Seneschal by increasing the number of acquired upgrade materials. This makes it easier to level up this mechanical helper to a point where you can really see how useful it is while exploring the Sanctuary.

In addition, the creators introduced a new item: Igneous Cores, which can be used instead of Pearls of Warding in the fight against Echo Malfas (which is harder, but also rewards the player better for victory) and various errors were mended (including with the "Drums of the Vault" task and with the Beckoning Thunder item worn by druids).

You can find the full list of changes introduced in update 1.3.0a on the official Blizzard website. Let us remind you that only the next seasons will bring major changes to Diablo 4, including the long-awaited revamp of the item system.
