Don't worry - Your Origin Account Hasn't Been Hacked

Without prior notice, EA gave Origin users a free month to Origin Access Basic subscribers. Surprisingly, instead of being happy, most players thought it was a hack and panic broke out on the forums.

EA unexpectedly came with a relly nice gesture.

Tonight, a large number of Origin players received somewhat disturbing emails about receiving a free month of Origin Access Basic subscription. The matter quickly became clear, because as it turned out, EA prepared a gift for players who decided on the two-step verification system during logging in. The subscription gives players a 10% discount on the Origin Store and access to 225 games, including several major, noteworthy productions such as Anthem, Battlefield V, Mass Effect Andromeda and Crysis 3.

If you've received an Origin email with this message, congratulations!

While the action is already over, we still encourage you to use two-step security verification on all platforms where such an option exists. After all, none of us would like to lose an account with a whole collection of games often collected over many years.
