Dying Light 2 Will Get Numerous Fixes Later This Week

Techland is busily patching up Dying Light 2. The developer released the first hotfix to the game last weekend, and is planning another update for PC and consoles for the middle of this week. It will include dozens of fixes.

The release of Dying Light 2 from Techland turned out to be quite an event. The game not only dominated the bestseller list on Steam, but also received very good reviews from the users of Valve's platform (81% of over 25 thousand reviews are positive). If only because of the numerous bugs, the game can hardly be considered perfect, but the developer resiliently patches up the flaws reported by players. Last weekend the first hotfix was released., and the next update is scheduled for the middle of this week.

The hotfix has improved the game's stability in co-op mode, added some missing textures, as well as solved some problems with sound and improved DLSS and ray tracing. Techland, however, plans much more extensive changes.

Planned changes to Dying Light 2 depending on the platform

  1. On PC, the glitches that cause game crashes and black screens are to be fixed.
  2. The same will also be fixed on XONE and XSX/S, while the AI of enemies will be improved.
  3. PS4 and PS5 versions Dying Light 2 will see similar changes, but the occasional screen flicker will also be eliminated.

The full list of planned changes can be found in the images below.

If you look closely, you will notice that in the coming weeks Techland intends to introduce, among other things, the ability to set English dubbing and subtitles in any other language (currently this problem can only be solved on PC by tinkering with the game files) and to have several saved save states (currently only one slot is available). So it can be said that the developer listens carefully to the community's opinions.
