Elden Ring as 2D Game - Fanwork Conquers Twitter

Twitter users were delighted by fanart from Elden Ring that shows how the blockbuster could look as a 2D platformer.

Elden Ring is proving to be the biggest hit of the year so far. An artist and fan of the game named Nauris decided to show how FromSoftware's hit would look like as a 2D game.

The creator shared a fanart, which shows the fight with Malenia in the form of a pixelart platformer. The whole thing looks great, and message with the artwork on Twitter has already been liked by over 57 thousand people.

Many people are raising that this image is reminiscent of Blasphemous, a successful platformer from 2019. This makes sense, as the game was clearly inspired by FromSoftware's previous works.

Nauris' vision only comes in the form of a single graphic, so for those who want to play something like this, the best suggestion would be Blasphemous.

From similar projects it is also worth mentioning the free game Residentvania. The project remakes last year's Resident Evil Village into a 2D metroidvania platformer. It is a beautiful and polished title which will provide several hours of fun.
