Filming of Thor: Love and Thunder Will Start in January

In an interview with Swisse Vitamins & Supply Company Chris Hemsworth confirmed that, according to current plans, the filming of Thor: Love and Thunder will start next January. Taika Waititi's latest superhero movie is scheduled for February 2022.

The coronavirus pandemic has stuck a broomstick in the spokes of Disney's plans for the development of Marvel Cinematic Universe this year. Take Thor: Love and Thunder, for example. Initially, this next installment of the adventures of the iconic pop-culture rendition of God of Thunder was supposed to appear in November 2021, but due to the global situation there was no possibility to proceed with the filming. Therefore, it was necessary to delay its premiere until February 11, 2022. In order to meet the new deadline, work on the set of Thor: Love and Thunder should start soon. And in fact, as Chris Hemsworth, playing the role of Thor, revealed in a conversation with Swisse Vitamins & Supply Company, this will happen next January. A similar date was reported in July by Natalie Portman, who will reprise her role as Jane Foster, the former beloved of the main character (via Slashfilm).

However, so far the script of Thor: Love and Thunder is still being created . Taika Waititi (who is also the film's director) and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson are working on it. According to Hemsworth, the fruit of their labor may come as a surprise.

"I am very excited to try something different. Now, in the last three films, we certainly pushed the envelope and created different versions of the character, and now people expect some dramatic changes. We've got our work cut out for us in that sense."

As a reminder, Thor: Love and Thunder will be based on The Mighty Thor comic book series, in which the aforementioned Jane Foster gains the power of the God of Thunder. In the film, apart from Hemsworth and Portman, we will see Christian Bale and Tessa Thompson. So we may have a very interesting movie for comic book lovers on our hands. But will it be like that in reality? We'll see about that in just over a year.
