Impostors is Fortnite's New Mode Inspired by Among Us

Epic Games' billion-dollar game Fortnite added an Impostors mode, inspired by last year's popular hit Among Us.

Looking for inspiration for the development of the billion-dollar earning Fortnite, Epic Games has came to last year's hit Among Us. The new mode, called Fortnite Impostors, will take up to 10 players to the bridge of a station belonging to the Imagined Order. There has been a betrayal on board, and there are two impostors hiding among the crew who want to eliminate the rest and take over. But Agents of the Imagined Order are determined enough to confront them, complete their tasks and save the day. That, in a nutshell, is the latest gameplay mode for Fortnite, which you can play for free right now, by downloading it from Epic Games Store.

If you are not familiar with the rules of Among Us, let e give you a brief explanation. Up to 10 players can participate in a single session of Fortnite Impostors, 8 of which take on the role of Agents of the Imagined Order. The team must make sure to fix the station. To bring it back to order, each agent will be given a specific task. If they manage to complete them, the team wins the game.

On the other side is a pair of impostors whose only goal is to take control of the station by killing Agents of the Imagined Order. They are aided by special abilities such as disabling quests, teleporting all players to a random room, and a skin party - all players are forced to parade around in the skin of a friendly banana man, enabling the traitors to hide in the crowd. Impostors win when they eliminate enough opponents.

In addition, there is a second way for the agents to win, which is to correctly identify the two impostors through a democratic vote and throw them off the station. When we find the body of a murdered companion, we can call a meeting - this moves all players to the conference room, where everyone present can present their suspicions about the identity of the impostor, and then decide together who should be eliminated.

More information about the mode can be found here.
