Ghostwire: Tokyo Launches; Reviews on Steam are Very Positive

We lived to see the release of Ghostwire: Tokyo. The game was received very warmly by Steam players.

Ghostwire: Tokyo, the latest game from Tango Gameworks, the developer known from The Evil Within.

The game is available only on PC and PlayStation 5. There are also plans to release it on Xbox Series X/S, but we will have to wait until next year. This is despite the fact that the publisher of the project is Microsoft-owned Bethesda. This is due to the fact that the agreement for temporary exclusivity was concluded before the acquisition.

Ghostwire: Tokyo with a warm welcome on Steam

The game debuted on Steam only a few hours ago, but it is already clear that the players liked it.

  1. At the time of writing this news 86% of user reviews on Steam praise Ghostwire: Tokyo.
  2. The service categorizes such result as "very positive" reception.
  3. It seems that Ghostwire: Tokyo has been more warmly received by gamers than by critics, as on OpenCritic only 66% of the latter recommend this title, while the average rating from industry media is 77%. The project was , however, appreciated by our editor, who gave it a 9 out of 10.

The game is also achieving good activity results. At the time of writing this news Ghostwire: Tokyo is being played by over 10 thousand concurrent users on Steam.

Such a result makes Ghostwire: Tokyo the most popular Tango Gameworks game on Steam to date - the previous record holder was The Evil Within 2 with 9,918 simultaneous players.

It's only been a few hours since the launch, so Ghostwire: Tokyo will undoubtedly achieve even highter activity figures. Most games achieve their best results during the first weekend after their debut.
