Google Suggests Baldur's Gate 3 May Launch This Year

If you trust Google, Baldur's Gate III may be released later this year. The information appeared in a blog note dedicated to new games that will appear on the Google Stadia streaming platform.

BG3 this year? Maybe.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Baldur's Gate III may come out this year;
  2. This is suggested by a note posted on Google Stadia blog.

It seems that Baldur's Gate III - the much-awaited RPG from Larian Studios (creators of the Divinity: Original Sin series), which is a new installment of the long-standing RPG series - may appear on the market earlier than we thought. More specifically, this year. This is suggested by a note posted on the official Google Stadia blog.

"You’re already looking forward to Doom Eternal, Get Packed, Orcs Must Die! 3, Baldur's Gate 3 and many more games coming to Stadia this year. Now, get set to explore the inner workings of a child’s memories, or leap into arcade chaos with your friends with a trio of titles making their debut on Stadia this spring and summer...before they land anywhere else. First on Stadia," we read.

Baldur's Gate III was clearly mentioned here as an extra and the whole thing can only be a misunderstanding. It is worth remembering, however, that developers from Larian Studios recently mentioned themselves that "something is brewing" and they will have something important to give us on February 27 (probably during the PAX West event in Boston). Until now, it may have seemed like the first piece of gameplay or additional information that will shed some light on the mysterious production. But who knows? Maybe we'll know the release date, and slated for this year?

We remind that Baldur's Gate III was announced last June. The game uses the license for the latest version of the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop system and, according to the Belgian studio, will set new standards in the genre. The title goes to PCs and Google Stadia. Below we recall the first trailer.
